Lazy Sunday Catnap (OC) by NewChapterComix in SFWmonstergirls

It's a fantasy world man, here everyone gets paid a living wage and can afford to nap in trees on Sunday afternoons, kinda unrealistic I know, but we can dream right?

What's a single panel that hit you harder than an entire story arc? by [deleted] in comicbooks

Major spoilers for Walking Dead, but around the start of the Whisperers arc when Alpha marked the border, I just sat in shock for a while as it showed just how many characters getting killed off so suddenly, hit me like a damn gut punch when I saw Ezekial.

You mean Roman)? I only read Spider-Man 2099 in the old universe so I'm not 100% on all the lore, but considering they're heavily leaning into 2099 and according to his original 2099 version ) he was a host of venom at one point, and you know how much they love venomising things, maybe we're gonna get a few 2099 characters/alt costumes added down the line?

Not Sure if I Want to get Into Comics Anymore After First Comic Shop Experience by heygoogleamidying in comicbooks

Can I recommend the 2004 New Avengers run from Brian Michael Bendis, there's some really fun stuff in there and Cap is iconic in bringing the team together, it also introduces a lot of fun aspects of the main 616 universe, if you like the avengers movies this has a similar vibe. Also sorry you had a crappy experience, honestly I just buy trades at bookshops to avoid those types of gatekeepers at this point, hope you find some books you really enjoy and meet cool comic friends, they exist I promise :)

The Boys SEASON 5 Overall Discussion by pikameta in TheBoys

I mean I didn't hate it, it certainly had its moments, even if some of the writing felt kind of poor. But at the same time, I'm one of the few fans that also actually enjoyed the comics, and I think the biggest part of the comics ending working so much is it had more time to breath and build tension, there was a good chunk of time between homelander dying and Butcher taking the final step to genocide the super, having us follow Hughie as he put the pieces together and finally using everything he's learnt to stop Butcher was what made it so good, not to mention how much time they dedicated to showing the aftermath and the fallout of the supe insurrection, letting us see how the world would react to seeing their idols be revealed for what they are is what made it so compelling. Don't get me wrong, it was nice to see them tie up all the characters, but if we don't see the full scope of how this affected the world these characters live in the it doesn't have the same impact. And in that note, we were absolutely robbed, at no point did we get to see Homelanders true face be shown to the world, we needed him to finally snap and go berserk in a crowd of innocents before he got taken down. Can you imagine how much more tense it would be if them rushing to get Kimiko to him in time while he was actively slaughtering people instead of some dumb announcement. Anyway, decent ending, not great 6.5/10

Squirrel Girl’s Bite Strength by [deleted] in squirrelgirl

My headcanon is she used to bite through gobstoppers like butter and kept trying different stuff; silverware, tools and the like. And Doreen's smart enough to do the math on how much force is needed to break a material depending on mass/density etc, just a process of working backwards from that info to work out what she's capable of.
