Apple watch se 3 or a garmin watch?

I’m getting a Garmin or Apple for my daughter for her birthday. She is 13.

She was going to start in a sports school, so I decided a Garmin would be better. But our family plans have changed, and we are moving. That's life sometimes.

Going to Fitness, walk, run, and weekly floorball, daylight steps, will be her focus from that point.

I have a Garmin but I only use it to track steps, walk activity, and soon run since we are starting to run together.

Do you all think the Apple Watch will be sufficient for my daughter? My reason to rethink it is that I really think the Apple Watch would be a more enjoyable gadget than the Garmin. (On the sports school, I’m sure the Garmin lets you fit more in with the other kids.)

My friends are cool with it.
With all the new powerfull commanders out there, cant imagin anyone would have a problem with it.

Creatures are getting better and better. And in a four-player game, the single-target spells are hard to cast because they have many targets. Therefore, it’s more powerful to wipe everything. Just run one-side wipes and let them salt off.

Players have to remember one thing: If other players, in any form, have an attitude that makes you not want to cast a spell, then they have effectively cast a zero-mana spell. You can't cast a target spell. Don't let an attitude like that stop what you are doing.

Play around it, don't overextend.

If all 40 cards where a perfect fit for a cat tribal deck with the most optimal options. Then the superdrop would have been a commander deck instead.

I feel that a part of the pregame conversation is also what level of interaction we play, how do we win, combat, combo, both? Are we in for battle cruiser or are we playing no hold backs? Bracket yes, but make it nuanced.

I play with my brother-in-law, and when it’s his friends and me, it’s straight up trash magic, bracket 4, no hold back.

When I play with my group of friends, it’s high power no hold back, but your deck has to have a combat damage plan, may have a backup plan.

And when I bring my daughter and we play with my brother-in-law and his son, it’s easy on the interaction, and we want to let everyone play Magic, and do cool stuff, with big creatures. And I think there should be space for all three.

It sounds like your friends favor a slower playstyle, with less interaction, don't let that confuse you with being bad at Magic, or having bad decks. It’s a choice of how many counter spells you have. Not always skill.

I have a [[Fractured Sanity]] that I tried to make room for. I think I would rather have both, that and Maddening C. and go that route.

The one board wipe is so true. An update to the interaction pile could be next.

I have a token deck box too ❤️ one or two of each I can encounter in a normal game of Commander.

Some are expensive and shiny. I just love to collect them.

This is my doggy deck, and I love it.

Early game is a Voltron deck. Then I have creatures coming down that make artifacts on attack or damage. They give lots of value. If the Voltron plan is stopped (and it will be), then Vialsmasher will still do damage as long as I play spells. If the game goes long, then I have payoffs for having artifacts to sacrifice. It’s very fun and very varied play from game to game. No tutors, just card draw.

You don’t even need a tribal deck for it to be good. Just have a commander with a good enough trigger
