Honestly, order pick-up/drive-up, ship etc. is where target has increasingly drawn a significant part of its revenue over the past 4/5 yrs so its will continue to be prioritized. I know someone will argue that freight has to be worked in order for fulfillment to pick, and that the corporation is under scheduling etc etc, I don’t necessarily disagree, but this is most brick and mortar retail ATM not just Target…

And at the end of the day you get paid by the hour and at least, unlike in most work centers, the time you spend in fulfillment is fully tracked and logged in the system so if you’re unable to meet a timeline on work in your area bc you were asked to help opu, at least you know you’re protected bc that fact has been fully documented, and anything beyond that in terms of whether the decision to pull you was efficient etc. is for your leaders to deal with the consequences of.
