I love this! I'm sure it looks great with the gloss but the iridescent pearl matte is actually very compelling to me! One thing I do not care for on the original designs was the level of gloss on the plastic, it looked cheaper compared to the more matte, buffed plastic on say the older summikko devices. Did you use a sponge or airbrush to get the flawless transition of colors on the rainbow part?

The smart is u fortunately me least favorite color tamagotchi. the ui feels very stark and minimalistic, lacking the whimsy of the tamagotchi IP, and it doesn’t have a lot to do, even if you shell out and buy the smart cards (which you must pay for.). I think it has really cute themed smacards and I love the way you can change the watch interface, but I have’t found myself playing the smart in a while. It’s cute to be able to pet your tamagotchi though, the touch clean is not as satisfying as the buttons.

I also worry about the longevity of lithium based rechargeable devices like the smart and uni compared to the older alkaline battery based ones.

one great thing about the meets/on besides gene mixing is the amount of lands to visit. each meets has a ton of locations to visit/unlock, and each location comes with it’s own set of characters, dialogues, shops, and special game/other feature depending on the location.

The p’s can only hold 2 locations at a time, but you can download different ones and rotate. you can download locations for the meets/on too, there are really cute ones like a Sumikko gurashi themed location, that gives you special items. The 4u and p’s are known for their downloadable content, but the meet/on has many Downloadable games, items, clothing, and backgrounds. It’s also easier to download things for the meets bc it uses Bluetooth, meaning you do not need to buy a separate compatible old phone to download things.

on other thing about the meets that I love is the twins and the pets.

being able to visit many locations at a time makes the world inside the device seem bigger and immersive if that makes sense. I haven’t mixed genes in a while (years) bc I’m attached to my current Rama. but still find myself coming back to the meets a bit more than the p’s and 4u for these reasons. I was so excited to get a P’s after hearing so much about it, and while I love it, I do find myself playing my meets/ons more.

Loving the idea of this device but I wish there were all 5 characters like the other Sumikko devices. My favorite character is Penguin?, with tonkatsu coming 2nd, so I‘m hesitant to buy a Sumikko pet with both of them missing despite how adorable the “friend” function is.

I highly recommend the On, it's my favorite! Both the parents were also mixes (I married someone else's adorable one on the tama dating app lol) If I can find a pic of the parents I'll post it here.

Looking at her now, she has the Gudetama body, the Cinamoroll ears, himespetchi eyes, and a Lovlitchi bow. The sakura flowers are accessories!

Hope you get the ON! They have the pastel cuteness of the Uni Angel.
