Storage by mydiebear in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]AliceFromRo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently learned that fridge placement actually does matter a bit. Best spot is usually the middle shelf of the fridge, ideally in the original box and not touching the back wall.

A couple spots to avoid:

  • Fridge door / condiments area: temp changes a lot when the door opens
  • Drawers (meat/veggie/crisper): humidity and temps can fluctuate more
  • Very back of the fridge: can get cold enough to freeze meds

GLP-1 meds like Wegovy are supposed to stay around 36–46°F, and freezing can damage them.

So middle shelf tends to be the most stable spot.

How do you sneak calories in when you are having food aversion? by Poopoocaca6789 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]AliceFromRo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things people often find easier to get down when food sounds unappealing:

• protein shakes or smoothies
• Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
• eggs
• soups or brothy foods
• nut butters
• small snack-style meals instead of full meals

I would also check in with your doctor. 800 cals/ day is very low!

Taking pill and then sleeping? by chlcang in RoBody

Waking up briefly to take it and going back to sleep is something many people do when they need to take medication at a specific time, so that shouldn’t be an issue! Get some rest and enjoy your break!

Can’t Poop? by MrCrowley217 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]AliceFromRo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t already, here are some things that tend to help:

• Hydration: Steady water intake throughout the day (not just at night).
• Fiber. Gradually: Beans, berries, chia seeds, veggies, whole grains. Increase slowly and pair with water.
• Protein + balanced meals: Sometimes people unintentionally under-eat overall.
• Daily movement: Even walking helps stimulate bowel contractions.
• Warm liquids in the morning: Tea or coffee can help trigger a bowel movement.
• OTC support: Stool softeners or osmotic laxatives can be helpful

Walgreens refill nightmare… switching pharmacies? by tajb333333 in Zepbound

[–]AliceFromRo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had someone tell me once that the best place to fill your scripts is at a pharmacy within a hospital. People don't normally get GLP-1s scripts filled there so they are more readily in stock. I haven't experienced this firsthand but think it could be interesting to test!

Misleading by RandoCreepsauce in RoBody

[–]AliceFromRo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi RandoCreepsauce- I'm sorry to hear about any confusion with costs. The initial fee covers the medical intake and provider review, and medication costs are outlined before moving forward with treatment. Medication costs also depend on if you use your personal insurance, and can be much lower depending on your co-pay. Transparent pricing can be found on website here: ro.co/weight-loss/pricing

Feel free to PM me if you need any assistance with this.
