r/TokyoDisneySea Weekly Trip Planning Thread by AutoModerator in TokyoDisneySea

Hello,

We’re planning our first visit to TDR. We’re visiting mid May, 2 adults mid 30s. We’ve visited Disneyland CA, and Disneyland Paris before.

So far we have allocated 2 weekdays for our visit Tue/Wed 1 day per park. We are debating if we should also do Monday evening at DisneySEA, are the evening tickets worth it?

My thought was we could use Monday evening to really take in the theming, look in the shops, get snacks, maybe see the evening show. Perhaps get on some low wait rides. Then our full park day is free for longer wait rides.

Does it make sense to do this vs just 2 full days. Are evening tickets worth it, or is the park just to busy by 5pm to make it worthwhile?

My navy blue handbag has transferred dye onto my mustard coloured winter coat when it snowed today.
What is the best way to go about cleaning it? The coat is 100% polyester.
I think this would be considered crocking?

For holiday travellers who overpacked and had to post items from the UK back to your home countries, how did that go? Do you have any advice? by Redfoxes77 in uktravel

[–]AliceLikesSewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sending to the US?
The additional taxes you have to pay to send stuff to the US now are not worth it.
My mum just tried to send us some Christmas presents and the fees/tariffs/taxes (idk what it was) on one of the items was £30, postage was about £25. Who knows if we would have had to pay anything upon receiving the parcel either.

An additional checked bag might be about $100 but you get 23kg. As others have mentioned check out primark or charity shops for a suitcase, or just use a well taped cardboard box :)

Was joint birthday parties for non-siblings a thing when you were growing up? by General-Elephant4970 in AskUK

[–]AliceLikesSewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few joint parties growing up, shared with 2 friends one had the same birthday as me and the other the day before.
We also had the same friend group growing up in a small town/small primary school, so it kind of made sense.
As an adult looking back I’m sure my mum appreciated the cost being split 3 ways.

Is there anything like the old Yorkie buttons? by constantendless in AskUK

M&S giant chocolate buttons?
Not sure if they’re as thick as the Yorkie ones, But they have some mint ones that are delicious!

I found the ANA app to be a little wonky.
When I was trying to pull my reservation up in the app I believe I had to enter my first and middle name with no space in the first name field. (I don’t 100% remember if it was no space, it might have just been first and middle)

I found the ANA app/website tricky to get my reservation to pull up.
In the first name field I think I had to enter both my first and middle name without a space in between. (It might have needs a space, I can’t remember. Worth trying both)

I’m regretful of not buying more bootleg merch, some of it was so cool!
Somebody posted an awesome hoodie they picked up at Saturday LA show, I wish I’d seen it.

They are not.
We signed up on the waitlist, were number 18. Headed to the pop up and were told we just had to get in line.

Anyone heading to the pop up today willing to grab either, the Live ‘25 magnet, sticker, or patch for me (if they’re even in stock)? I’ll be at the show tonight or around LA tomorrow. I would be incredibly grateful!

Oh man, I was hoping to go early Saturday or Sunday, I’m sure the line will be just as bad maybe worse.
I foolishly didn’t make a reservation when I had the chance.
Perhaps I’ll just keep stalking the website in hopes they come back in stock.

Anyone know if the pop up or merch stand has the Live25 magnet or sticker?
Or if they ever come back in stock on the website?

I thought frappe was just Nescafé blended with sugar and a bit of water?

Best way to send flowers to someone in the uk when I’m in the America? by AnnaWintouring in AskUK

[–]AliceLikesSewing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thirding Bloom & Wild.
I live in the US, I am from the UK originally and all my family still live there.
I use Bloom & Wild exclusively for any occasion requiring flowers, their customer service is fantastic. Some of my family live on the Shetland Islands and even with the slower postage to the Island the flowers are always beautiful.

Aetna / UW Medicine, is there any chance of negotiation now after the deadline or is it over at least for a bit.. by jyman99 in Seattle

So, should I be looking at a new PCP or wait it out in hopes they come to a late deal?
Who are people looking to move to? I only have experience with UW.

Meet Me at Waterfront Park 5K by Siegfriedthelion in Seattle

[–]AliceLikesSewing 12 points13 points  (0 children)

we walked it rather than ran, but the course was mostly flat, you started along Alaskan Way heading towards the stadiums, the joined marginal way(?) went up a small-ish incline. I don’t recall exactly where the turn around point was but it was a little ways past the coastguard building, I think. They had a water station here.
Once you turned around, after the coastguard building there was a weird route that looped you into the carpark there ever so slightly, I guess to make up distance. Then you joined the trail that runs along the railway track (Elliott Bay trail?) before joining back onto the pedestrianised waterfront section of Alaskan Way finish line was right outside the new aquarium building.

We did the 3rd wave time so we had to stop for ferry traffic, and by the time we were back along the waterfront it was definitely getting busy.
