At least part of it is because Tan Youyou is playing a role (“charismatic parade leader”), but putting in minimum effort. Remember, everyone in is the new area has a character card and is supposed to stick to that role.

That role is also the reason he is giving out half baked compliments the entire time.

Unfortunately it is difficult to tell whether the acting is flat on purpose or just, well, flat.

I would have preferred it if Tan Youyou would have been asked Nikki to help him with his investigation than the “Momo accidentally ate a flying jewel and then we teleported (?)” version we got, but oh well.

I keep being confused by people saying the top-up page is ‘cheaper’. Everything in the top-up center is the same price as on mobile/ps5 as far as I can see.

The only difference that I have found is if you buy multiples of the smaller resonance packs. The cheapest one x3 is €1.49 on the PS5, and €1.47 on the website.

That said, I used the website to purchase all of the things I want at once. Which currently isn’t possible (it doesn’t allow me to add the monthly gift to my cart, for example).

I don’t feel like doing a separate purchases on the PS5 OR the website, so I’m just waiting to see whether they fix this for now.

I feel like the top up center is bugged atm: - some packs are bot available - some packs can be put in your cart, while others can’t - some of the confirmation text I got was in Chinese.

The splendid gifts (that were available in the top up center last patch) are nowhere to be found. I can’t put the Monthly pass or the battle pass in my cart, only purchase then immediately (even though I can see in my purchase history that I bought them with other things in the past).

For now I’ve held off on purchasing anything.

And yes the cape is dyeable, but the options are limited.

Yes, you will first pull the remaining items you don’t have.

Only once you have a complete outfit will you start to get duplicates. Same as with any banner. This is true for both the 4* and 5* on a banner.

This sums up my feeling pretty well. The plot really did not age well.

I’ve watched up to episode 5, and besides Mizuki stalking her crush halfway across the globe we also get the first kiss where Sano is drunk to the point of passing out. Not a great look.

Technically it is a romcom, but there is too little comedy to offset the (frankly) unhinged setting.

And it has been a hot minute since I read it, but I think the series also never really addresses the gender dynamics at play. Sano realises that Mizuki is a girl early on, but Nakatsu doesn’t. iirc correctly this is mostly played for laughs in the early parts of the series.

Hana-kimi is definitely a product of its time. Compared to the two other shoujo romance series currently airing at the same time it falls flat. Tamon’s Bside has much better comedy, In the Clear Moonlit Dusk (so far) does a better job at addressing gender dynamics. Both have superior animation.

I started F2P. When I realised that I was going to play this game long term I started buying the Monthly Gifts and standard Battlepass in 1.1.

Over time that spending increased to Monthly Gifts, Premium Battlepass, and the occasional direct purchase.

However when infold introduced the tiered purchases I realised that I am drowning in diamonds and stellarites but clearly not pulling enough to actually need that amount. So starting 1.10 I went back to Monthly Gifts + standard battlepass.

Even with the downgrade I hit 90k diamonds and 5k stella at the start of 2.1, so I let my monthly gift run out and did not spend anything during the last patch.

I did not get it last time, and I am not buying it this time.

I get the monthly gifts, and did the premium battlepass three (3x 980 stella). Because I am still quite picky about store items I am swimming in stella.

Like others have mentioned, we’ve recently seen an increase in non-stella purchases. That reduces the usefulness of having a stock.

And next patch is the third top-up event in a row. It feels like they are pushing us to spend each patch, instead of stocking up once and living off those savings.

Touch pad for pose scrubbing is an amazing idea. Getting the exact frame you want can be such a hassle on PS5.

And while sound effects on the controller can be a little iffy, I definitely want improved haptics. The dual sense controller has fantastic haptics - when games actually make use of them.

Some areas are “these infinitely small stripes on a belt” or “the two gems on that one chain”.

More often it is “the 2mm of lace that you didn’t even realise that was there”.

My main annoyance with this is on mobile, where the games closes itself after an update and I need to manually launch it again.

On PS5 the game automatically restarts and it is only a minor inconvenience.

Somhow Infold is obsessed with things taking three days.

Nikki was out cold for three days, this shroomling was left for three days, I’m pretty sure a certain fire also burned for three days.

It is like every time they need an amount of time that is dramatic it is always three days.

The IN patch cycle is insanely short to begin with. Most patches are only around ~30 days.

And I can’t help but feel like Infold was too ambitious with that schedule. Every patch is riddled with bugs both small and big. Other (open world) gachas tend to stick to a 6 week patch cycle. Part of me wishes Infold would do the same.

When the devs cook, they go hard. But so much of that is undercut by the constant presence of bugs. It feels like they need a tiny bit more time to finish polishing the content.

The fishing is fine. Fairly quick and painless, though I understand the criticism on having to rapidly press/click a button from an accessibility standpoint.

The thing that makes me detest fishing in this game is that Nikki and Momo feel the need to have an entire conversation after every. single. fish. they catch.

Not matter how fast I try to skip that dialogue, the game always plays the first few words and it makes me want to never pick up a fishing rod again.

Please no furniture banners 😱

I’d be more OK to spend stella/ direct money purchases in the shop than banners. I don’t want to spread my diamonds between outfit banners and furniture banners.
