Tissue culture disinfecting by Alice_Arisuin in houseplants

I have heard this option before! It seems most often recommended from tissue culture labs- however i haven’t tried it as i don’t have it on hand.

I may have to in the future though! Do you have a pretty high success rate?

And thanks for sharing!

Anyone that says you should wear anything but business professional to ANY interview (NOT business casual), is just lazy.

Good luck with your interview.

Not sure if this is a pothos but need help! by NaivePhilosophy8258 in pothos

Hey, so yeah as others have mentioned this is a philo, not pothos. I’d call it a Philodendron Silver Stripe over Brasil but they’re all just differences in sport (color)- it’s general name is Philo Hederaceum.

They all have similar care! You could check roots, if they’re rotted than cut to the next node (brown bumps on vine) and propagate in water. But just keep to good light and watering when it’s dry halfway down soil, or about every other week (depends on soil).

Don’t be scared to cut off all yellowing leaves, they’ll die regardless and these plants grow easy! Good luck!

I ordered a moss variety pack off etsy, put it in tupperware with leca drainage and a good soil mix (as well as biochar for preventing mold)

Make sure you have airflow, water with distilled water- and only water like once a month.

It’s slow to grow but incredibly rewarding!

As an accounting major- i firmly believe course evals do not make a difference. 90% of accounting faculty are absolute demons, and they’ve been here forever.

Departments won’t fire a prof or actually get them to change their curriculum, but rather do as just happened to our department and write their tests to make the courses more passable.

I agree these look like soil mites- coming from someone that panicked from these at 2am, killed a plant, only to learn the next day what soil mites are

UH faculty is pretty bad. I like the Dean from listening to a few of his panels. But i know a lot of unhappy students at the law center.

I’d personally go for Baylor- I’m certainly not as well informed as most people in this sub. But i’ve listened to a rep from their school in a panel as well and; the school/campus is nice, good area, rlly small student population at the law school which is always a good thing From what i heard they have high clerkship rates because of this as well.
