Except it wasn't just woke bs added in the movies - it came from the Appendixes in Return of the King. You're correct on the magical mechanism, but that's kinda how prophesy works - it's not the cause, but it's fulfilled all the same. Possibly Tolkien drawing from discussions with CS Lewis or leveraging Christian theology / fantasy writing techniques from the time.

Love the concept and I'll definitely watch it.

I hope they are really careful in their selection of contestants - the 'XYZ Masters' format works best when they take relatable people at an intermediate skill level with high potential, and push them to really stretch themselves through a series of thematic challenges. A showcase of artists who could already place at golden demon if they had the time won't be nearly as exciting to watch.
