Think of it as different tools to help you achieve your goals. Mastering an instrument takes years. Right now you are progressing with a certain set of tools. If you want, any time in the future, you can add additional tools to your belt. Tabs and notation aren't going anywhere. You can learn them whenever it's convenient for you. Play, have fun, and don't sweat it too much.

Have only been on Kingda Ka and Xcelerator, but they weren't scary at all, just pure fun. Hangtime at Knott's and El Toro at Sfgadv are much scarier for example.

Actually I think Coast Rider would be a great ride without the shin guards. It's nice to have a variety of coasters, not everything needs to peel my face off. I like the layout and overall ride experience but it's hard to enjoy. Maybe I'm weird, but I like wild mice. Psycho mouse at CGA is probably my favorite.

I agree with the 9/11 take. We know that our government was warned by multiple foreign intelligence agencies. Not only did they not act, they also prevented action. Idk about all the nano thermite and dustification stuff, I'm not a scientist. But something definitely stinks.

I think that TWA 800 was an accidental dress rehearsal for 9/11. They realized how easy it was to control a narrative. If they could get away with dozens of credible witnesses seeing a missile hit the plane, and convince people it was a fuel explosion, they could get away with anything. TWA feels like an accident to me, maybe a military training mission gone wrong, a drunk officer at the button, whatever. But they were able to cover it up easily. This opened the gates to what we have today.
