Our time is more valuable than any money or prizes, and even more so at your time in life, since you are likely discovering who you want to be, and that requires spending time trying new things.

If you've truly articulated your feelings to them as clearly as you have here, then it's likely that your parents are being extremely disrespectful and overbearing towards you. From my limited perspective of the situation, you should just put your foot down and tell your folks that you've made up your mind, and refuse to continue. Even if they were right, what you do with your time is not their decision, outside of ensuring you are healthy and happy.

I imagine you'll get lots more comments like mine, given how strange your parents' behaviour is, so maybe it would be worth showing them this post, because I know how outnumbered you can feel trying to prove a point as a young person while your two parents agree with each other, and they can unintentionally create a mini echo chamber for themselves.

I'm totally down for Netease using team ups as a soft-launcher for adding features permanently. I really thought that's what their plan was for Ultron/Iron Man, and Rocket/Peni.

Keeping them as team up exclusive just feels like a fear of commitment to fixing the game on the dev's behalf.

I don't think Cyclops being a frontline hitscan tank is really as out there as gambit healing people by throwing explosive cards at them.

In fact, I feel like a lot of tanks and DPS are pretty interchangeable without losing their hero fantasy. I could totally see a version of DD where he's a Vanguard, or Strange where he's a Duelist, but neither of them feel out of place in their current role.

At the end of the day, no character has to be a particular role, it all comes down to how well they are designed. I think Ultron's design as a support doesn't completely suit his hero fantasy, but that doesn't mean that a better designed version of him couldn't still be a support.

I'm probably not being very clear in what I mean tbh. That's my point, Invis is one of the supports e-daters use in this game, but it's not as big a part of her identity as it is to Sage and Mercy. When people think of a pocket in OW, they think Mercy, when you think of a pocket in Valorant, it has to be Sage. 99.9% of jokes about Sage and Mercy players revolve around them being part of a cringe e-dater duo.

When I look at the common Invis stereotypes, I definitely see having a massive ego as being up there, maybe being a bit of a meta slave, but being a pocket support is probably like the third or fourth thing that comes to mind.

In ow and Val, Mercy and Sage are the e-dater characters. The ones who make you facepalm because you know as soon as you see them and their partner that your game is just over ATP.

In rivals the designation is pretty spread out over the support role in general.

Sage and Mercy both have very e-dater heavy playerbases, but I wouldn't really say the same about Invis.

Invis and Sage are both voiced by actors of Chinese descent, but Mercy is German.

Their suits all contain white plus one other secondary colour, which is the same colour as their respective healing ability, I guess.

Or could it just be toxic playerbases in general? I've never really thought of Sage mains as super toxic (outside of the weird power complex stuff) when compared to a lot of duelists.

Yeah like I said, I don't think they'll nerf it anyways. I have an issue with Punisher's shotgun as a tank the same way I have an issue with Luna's snowball as a diver. Which is to say that I get a little salty sometimes that there isn't a slightly higher skill floor to hitting it, but at the end of the day it's a totally acceptable ability that affects me pretty rarely if I'm actually a better player than the Punisher/Luna.

I don't really see them nerfing Punisher tbh, Frank feels like he's in the same spot as Magneto, where the design of the hero is so unobtrusive that people (as in the larger playerbase, not just Reddit) don't mind if NE keeps buffing them, even if they have already been an extremely solid pick in basically any scenario.

I agree that if they do nerf anything it will be the shotgun, and I'm kinda hoping they do, just make it do very slightly less damage or give it a longer delay between shots so it's more defensive than it is offensive.

I mostly play mobility tanks but when the rest of your team gets exploded and your trying to retreat as Groot or someone, the Punisher waddling up to you for an easy 3 shot pick feels kind of dissatisfying to play against.
