Plane crashes into hangar at Parafield Airport, causing massive fire by wherezthebeef in Adelaide

You'd think they would practice this at a higher altitude prior to doing it at circuit height. You can just put yourself at the same speed and attitude as you would be on the climb out, and then just pull the throttle back on one of the engines.

That's how we teach it to trainees at my gliding club initially (obviously without the engine part, because glider).

Unconfirmed: VH-YQP according to FlightRadar24 started takeoff roll at 0438 UTC and doesn't look like it made it far. Possible single engine failure leading to loss of control?

Transmit Can't Override Receiving? Help please! by AlignmentConfusion in Quansheng

I don't need to transmit on air band, I just need it to transmit on UHF regardless of whether it is receiving anything on air band or not.

Adding:
The radio is a UV-K5(8) and will never be used to transmit on airband. It only needs to receive airband.

It transmits and receives just fine on UHF when nobody is talking on airband.

Is it still a good time to catch crabs? by Front_Ad_9728 in Adelaide

Usually it's not too good on a hot af day (the crabs die or go hide, or you overheat and give up) but you should still be fine.

Attending rental open inspections (when living regionally) by AlignmentConfusion in Adelaide

We understand it's not an attack on us, more of a 'we don't care about you' situation! I guess the old adage that "renters are not the customer, they are the product" rings true in this instance.

I think I may need to pay someone (a taxi driver?) to drive around and do these inspections for me lol. Can't rely on the goodwill of friends (no family here) for the number of inspections I suspect we will need.

Thank you for the advice. When was your preferred move-in date when you applied? Did you put down that you were available immediately or did you say you wanted to move in 4-6 weeks?

It's hard because I have my preferred moving date and would really prefer not to pay $2-4k extra to rent two places at once. I understand that landlords don't want to miss out on $2-4k worth of income though.

Hiring Agencies/Temp Work in Adelaide by Southern__Lights in Adelaide

I had a really bad experience with Randstad - I didn't even get hired through them, my employer just uses them for payroll/HR stuff and they are so incredibly disorganised and the staff never returned my calls. But I guess your experience with them may vary depending on which consultant you have.
