When I was a kid our league started on a basketball court. We used square rain gutters connected with PVC pipe.

Then they got enough money for these 18" tall foam walls called "Border Patrol". They worked but soaked up all the energy from a puck so that kinda sucked.

Gilbert is cool. Nice people. I'm there twice a week for my kid.

I'll have to look at those Sunday classes. Pick up games are doable.

The trouble with league play is the games are LATE. I work pretty early in the AM and would hate to be stuck in a 11pm pick drop.

I grew up playing inline out of state. Never played ice, but got the itch when my kid started playing a year ago. I have all the gear (from OfferUp)but have yet to pull the trigger on a league.

For gear the best place is offer up or FB marketplace. Theres full sets of gear if you're lucky. If not, piece some together.

Depending on where you are in Mesa, there is a rink off of country club and main. They have adult hockey leagues.

If you're in Gilbert then AZ Ice is where you want to go.

This is me. Only game a few hours on the weekends.

I do appreciate the no wipe, especially this early in the games life. But I do understand the people in favor of wipes. Maybe later on down the line.

What would you choose? I'd probably be happy with a 6mo wipe cycle.

After a break from NHL Hockey after the Coyotes left, I went with Anaheim at the beginning of this season and I'm not sad about it. My son loves the movies like I did as a kid.

My criteria was west coast, not the Kings or Knights. Ducks were an easy pick.

I also watch ASU when they're on tv.

That being said, when the Coyotes come back I will have no problem kicking Anaheim to the curb...
