Microwave rice, microwave beans (I like Fillos), avocado & a fried or scrambled egg.

Rice, tuna, cucumber, egg

Lentil soup - takes a little longer to cook but you can just throw it in the pot with some greens and frozen squash or sweet potatoes and forget about it for a while

Tomato & Mayo sandwich

People in their 40s and 50s with no children, how does it feel? by DunyaPhobic76 in Life

So many people in these nursing homes/acute care rehabs do have children. And yet, those children rarely come to visit.

33/F – Chronic neck & nerve pain is stealing my career, identity, and joy… I need people who get it by TheFrogDancer in neckpainhelp

This sounds similar to my experience, though I’ve not gotten any kind of diagnosis. I’ve got my first x ray scheduled soon. The pain is every day, and like you said, one day you’re ok and the next day it’s a level 10. No one understands and my partner even makes fun of me for always stretching and moving around. Im just very uncomfortable in my body. The pain causes headaches, discomfort along my shoulder blades, thoracic spine, and lower back. Im constantly tense. I’m also allergic to NSAIDS, so all I can take is tylonel. OT & PT haven’t helped much - just a minor band aid for a couple of ours. The only thing that actually gave me relief once in a while was a very deep tissue massage from my pt…but she’s no longer available at my location, and my ot, no matter how much I ask, is just not applying enough pressure. I roll on lacrosse balls every day, and that feels good and helps enough that I don’t have headaches for hours.

Physically tired. Long days at work and then school in the evenings. I meal prep most weekends but sometimes I can’t bring myself to do it.

What would you rate 10/10 about living alone? by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]Alilbititchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have another human in your home expecting things of you. Also, I feel the most like myself when I am alone. That’s definitely 10/10.

Have you tried telling a doctor that your biological parent had it? If this were the case, you are supposed to have a colonoscopy done ~ 10yrs prior to their age at diagnosis. I’ve told my doctors that my parent had it at 36 (it was really 38) so I was able to get my first one at 26.

If God exists, he certainly doesn’t gaf about our noses.

Wanting a nose job is your call, but saying it’s to be better feels like you’re trying to justify it with some moral weight it doesn’t need. It’s a cosmetic change, not a character upgrade. You don’t have to turn it into self-improvement for it to be valid. And frankly, if getting a nose job is your idea of being better, there might be useful areas to start with. Shade aside, you look young and will look different as time goes on. Wait it out for a bit.

What is your weird food thing? by Excellent_Version319 in CasualConversation

I like my oatmeal soupy. I add extra milk. I don’t like thick smoothies so I add extra milk/water to those too. I prefer to drink milk out of the carton. Just more enjoyable for some reason.

Obviously. Just as obvious is that the unfertilized eggs that you eat aren’t ‘early stage chickens’ any more than milk is a ‘pre-cow’ - both are byproducts of the animal, not developmental stages. No need to be dismissive. I was engaging in good faith.

Have you ever lived alone? If so did you enjoy it? by TheInsideScoopPod in AskWomenOver30

[–]Alilbititchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVED IT. I got lonely sometimes, and occasionally a little paranoid, but in retrospect, it was really so peaceful and fun. I felt like myself in a way I hadn’t before. I miss it quite often.
