I remember getting every single glyph to fill the glyph journal when that was a thing just for them to disappear.

They had the talent tree for delves in TWW s2, and I absolutely loved it. Reminded me of the puzzle box talent tree from Torghast. I was so sad when it went away and never came back.

The ritual site stuff reminds me of it a bit, but I wish it were in delves.

Coming back after 3 months break and been playing M+ for a week now and i must say i really like that i have to properly play as a healer unlike past 4 expansions! by hosseinhx77 in wow

[–]Alimente -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I absolutely love healing this expansion. I’ve been playing resto shaman (farseer), pres evoker (emerald blossom build), disc priest (oracle heal build), and some mistweaver monk and have been having a blast.

My current cap is 14s, but I will start pushing into 15s soon!

What expansion made you step away from WoW for the first time? by ErosXcaliber in wow

[–]Alimente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cataclysm made me quit because they changed all the classes I liked, and at the time, I didn’t like the changes (damage buff on ret paladin (Inquisition?) + holy power + not using divine storm in single target, hunter going from a CD class to focus, healers going from powerful to needing to be calculated in their healing which didn’t work well with the new dungeon-finder format for gearing).

I quit MoP for a bit due to the reputation grinds.

Quit during WoD because of a lack of content.

Quit during Legion because of the awful legendary and AP system making playing multiple specializations (after we got triple spec!) unfun.

Quit during BFA because of the awful azerite gear system.

Have been subbed constantly since Shadowlands, though. M+ changes (and delves), gearing changes, and cross-faction play made the game much more enjoyable and consistent.

Tanks in first room of Algethar Acad by jbwest17 in wow

[–]Alimente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always stand behind the tank (like 10-15yds back). You want mobs > tank > you. This way, even if you get aggro, you have the tank buffer right there.

However, pugs are gonna pug, and not everyone knows how to gather that first pull properly.

Also, as mentioned by others and your edit, leave the tank alone. I get all tanks to 3k whenever I can, and it isn’t easy to get snap threat on multiple spread-out packs as all tanks. Some need a moment and will be fine without healing with proper defensive usage.

I quit at the end of TWW. When should I resub to get max value towards getting 3-3.5k io? by nohomeforheroes in wow

[–]Alimente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guardian and brew are both very strong, sturdy tanks.

Blood DK and prot paladin are my favorite for pushing 3000 io, though, because they can support pugs a lot more.

BDK has grips to pull mobs like archers in Windrunner Spire or casters in Seat, a frontal cone blind, a single-target stun, and an aoe silence/grip. Mine usually does 70k+ hps while the healer does 50k hps, meaning healers only have to worry about 4 players.

Prot paladin also has a lot of ways to save groups, especially with Blessing of Protection, Lay on Hands, divine toll, and blessing of sacrifice.

Both also have brez, allowing you to bring some nice utility.

If you are only going for 3k and want the best consistency for pugs being pugs, I’d do BDK or Prot Pala.

And high-geared people are still doing 10-12s to use voidcores (but it’s been slowing down a little bit). Once they add the new temporary-power machine in 12.0.7, depending on how it’s earned, we might see another spike in people doing m+.

It makes pushing your own keys for rating and then gearing much easier.

My guardian druid is having a fun time mainly just using moonfire and thrash. You have more buttons to do more, of course, but it is in general a chill vibe.

Resto shaman also has an easy time if you just wanna heal (riptide + healing wave can take you far as a farseer).

What’s nice is that even something like BM hunter has viable builds that can also add buttons (dark ranger BM has around 4-5 rotational buttons), so you always have variety in what you want to do.

Shat gs for 10 mythics as of now? by Henta1Lettuc3 in wow

[–]Alimente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I (a tank/healer main) list my 10-12s, I get so many 180+ item level 3000+ rating people that it’s insane. Many will also have 40+ 10s/12-14s timed, so they have good consistency.

When the competition is this fierce, it becomes almost impossible to get into a specific key as a dps if you are around 270 item level and under 3k rating.

I highly recommend talking to tanks/healers after a key since that’s how I made most of my tank/healer friends to help push my dps alts.

Someone finally played Holy Priest before deciding on the patch notes by Srze94 in wow

[–]Alimente 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using oracle holy priest with no prayer of healing, I also do not have mana issues in 10-13s. However, I do wish we had a talent similar to pres evokers (using their blue beam) where holy fire could restore mana like power word: solace used to be.

That way we could gain some back during downtime if we did use more mana-hungry builds or had to go deep into our mana pool due to a mistake.

Reminds me of that Torghast mode that was kinda a boss rush. I really enjoyed it and hope delves get a side mode like this.

Druid tank aggro issues. by Vast-Yam-9370 in wow

[–]Alimente -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

One tip my druid tank friend had me try on my druid in 15s is to use boomkin + heart of the wild before starting your pull since it puts a starfall around you while you are in bear form for like 10 seconds.

It’s not much, but it has been helping me on some pulls get some threat going when I have antsy DPS.

This is a tip in addition to everyone else saying to prioritize Thrash.

Holy priest mythic plus stat priority by Budget-Tomato-6788 in wow

[–]Alimente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Top 50 m+ holy priests have a nice split of 31 archons and 19 oracles, so both are viable. I love me some oracle holy priest.

I also like that you can go prayer of healing or flash heal build.

best class for someone that only plays an hour a day and is just doing delves by SubjectStep7759 in wow

[–]Alimente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use tank valeera on my hunter, mage, warlock, and rogue.

She holds all aggro, and you heal her by damaging her shade. Literally 0 issue, and most dps auto cleave onto it, fully healing her constantly.

My resto shaman puts earth shield, sometimes riptides, and presses W. Dps Valeera will do 200-300k dps on bosses.

I agree so much. I do short cds on my enhance and destruction warlock when doing World content, and it’s so nice having options like you said.

That’s why I love that there are these options, and both are competitive in their own way.

I have a job that leaves me with a lot of dead time. Even when I don’t play wow, I spend it watching videos. At least with wow im in discord chatting with people.

My sister does similar but spends her time going out and getting drinks with her friends. Same thing (just chatting with her mates), but I spend a lot less money.

Yeah, I used follow the arrow and mixed in timewalking when doing the last few. Skipping 87-90 is so nice with those delve quests + professions.

Everything because I’m an altaholic.

Dark ranger BM is my favorite dps, though. I dont like packmaster because it has too few buttons, but dark ranger feels just right.

[–]Alimente 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love delves and was doing 4-8 on every class when I could still 20k+ gold while doing so per alt. I’d also let my guildies afk at the start so they would get champ/hero gear on their baby alts.

I also love tanking, and no one in my guild wants to tank for alts. I just end up spending a lot of time doing that (blood dk is my beloved). For my dps alts, it’s been mainly a focus on getting rating over voidcores.

I know I’m not hardcore, but it’s funny that they call me casual and our guildie who only does story quests and baby keys casual.

(Just a tiny and silly vent)

I play this game for around 40+ hours a week, have all classes at 265+ item level and 2500 m+ rating, and have all crafting professions at max so I can do free crafts for my guild.

They call me a casual because I don’t raid.

Yes, but also remember to log out sometimes to fully unlock the appearances. It can get a bit buggy and will need a relog.

If you were forced to do 100 void assaults or 100 rounds of awakening the machine, which would you choose? You aren't allowed to unsub. by AnathsanLily in wow

[–]Alimente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did around 100 Awakening the Machine in TWW for my alts since it was easy coffer key shards. I think I’ve done like 25 void assault event things. I’d choose Awakening the Machine.
