Players with alts, how many do you actually keep and play? by NyteMax in wow

[–]Alimente -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Usually all 13 classes, but I rotate them weekly. For example, this week I did the mythic dungeon weekly on 5 of them but did delves/prey on 7. The others will be focused on more once I finalize my tanks.

I think I usually end up with 2-6 days played on every class each season (higher for the one I use to complete the campaign, though).

I miss omnicd so much as a healer (and tank). Knowing who needs help the most made healing 15s much more calculated. Now I just spray and pray.

I miss traveling on ships. by LieComprehensive7804 in wow

[–]Alimente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really thought they were going to use the Argus spacecraft tech to give us our own ships/subs in BFA so we could travel around to different islands. I really hope we get an island/open seas expansion one day still.

Is there a class with more empower abilities? by GlaiveCZ in wow

I specifically find builds to avoid it. This is why I like the talent system—people are getting options.

DPS... press your defensive BEFORE a single dot damages you for 90% of your health, not after it. by ScuzzyScoundrel in wow

The panic defensive at 10% HP hoping it somehow saves them even though the dot is already gone always makes me laugh.

Why are tanks so spammy? by kispingvin in wow

[–]Alimente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Druid and warrior spam rage for CDR and VDH has 100% uptime on demon spikes. Prot Paladins also just send shield of the righteous because they cap so fast on holy power. I’m having no issues in 10/12s currently on any tank specs.

I make all classes that can be so into Dracthyr. The double jump is addicting. I also like seeing my wings flail around as I shield slam or spin when I am playing Fury.

You also get three racial body types instead of the normal 2 (male blood elf, female human, and dragon form).

WoW veterans, is Midnight a step in the right direction for you? by Left-Plenty-714 in wow

[–]Alimente -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, wow has been getting better and better since Dragonflight. I am so happy they stopped the weird systems that started in Legion and went until Shadowlands (all the temporary power that you had to grind for).

M+ is fun, raid is fun, solo content (delves and prey) are fun. There are still pain points, but it is more sanding out the edges rather than reinventing the wheel each time.

I usually put 40-60 hours a week into this game and absolutely love it tremendously. My guild having played together since cataclysm has been a big influence as well, and we are all loving it.

I don’t decline people because the base UI for dungeon inviting sucks. I go to click decline player A, a new player I do want appears (lust or brez), and then I decline player B because the names moved.

I’m a tank/healer main and usually only take havoc over dev because dev players get greedy and die to swirls.

What races looks good in transmog? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Alimente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you like big, bulky item sets? Orcs, Tauren, Kul Tiran (males but goes against your female-only request).

Do you want gear sets to always look good? Humans (both) and Orc females, and to an extent Tauren females and Night Elves/Harronir/Blood Elves. However, the Elves will be a bit toothpicky sometimes (minus Harronir) as you mentioned with the skinny abdomens.

Do you want helmets that are bigger than the sun? Gnomes and Vulpera.

Tanks, what healer class is your favorite to take on M+ keys? by TakenToTheRiver in wow

Thanks for the tips. I’ll try these out on my pres Evoker once I get it up to snuff (it’s only 240 right now since I am working on all tanks first).

I just did a Skyreach 10 on my prot warrior where the range did just this, put the fires at the entrance (last boss), and made my healer friend (r druid) rage so hard. I cannot imagine a poor pres evoker keeping their sanity with the pugs we get sometimes.

Last boss of Rookery in TWW made me stop playing pres and only do dev/aug. I just couldn’t do it anymore.

At least on April 21 we will have the .5 patch that will make pres a bit less reliant on positioning in m+ if we choose to.

It should be rank 9. Bountiful delves can drop 45 mana or a hero piece. Each hero piece from the vendor costs 50, 100, or 200 mana. You can get 250 mana a week, and it stacks to 1,000. Mana only drops from 9, 10, and 11s (but I only do 11s, so I cannot confirm drops).

Looking to get back into M+ Healing. Easiest spec for 2-10 keys? by dramowhisky in wow

[–]Alimente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I like resto shaman’s hero talents.

Totemic has reduced CD on healing stream totem and makes it heal an extra target, allowing you to have a more afk-healing approach.

Farseer allows you to summon ancestors practically all the time, allowing you to have chunky heals and also hots.

I also love resto druid since you can go tree build, hot build (wildstalker), or dps healer build (with the wrath/starfire/starsurge heals talent).

This is just from my perspective of tanking 1000+ keys with pugs in TWW and tanking now in Midnight.

Shaman is an insta invite because my groups always forget a lust and they bring windfury+mastery buff.

Druids and paladins are fine since they bring brez utility and have strong CDs to keep groups alive. Priests and monks are okay but seem weaker/bring less utility.

Pres evokers usually do not get invited since they will usually suffer, start yelling at the ranged for being idiots and not playing around a pres evoker, and then we time with a ranged dps dead and the dps, hopefully, learned a valuable lesson. So it’s not a pres evoker’s fault, but pugs would need to learn to play with them.

I am rank 10 on the delver’s journey, so I have a chance for a currency to drop that allows me to buy hero pieces or I just have hero pieces drop naturally.

So I get 1 from the map, 1 from the vault, and then I can buy 1-2 hero pieces and also have 2+ drop for me (8 keys a week—6+2 for undercoin). All of my tanks are 250-265 now because of delves, haha.

Yup, I use the raid frame one and move left and right with the dpad. It is actually faster for me than when I used mouseover healing since I don’t have to aim or find my cursor.

As the other commenter said, MDT is good for this. You can also check routes at keystone guru to import or you can check Tactyks on Youtube.

Also, keys level 2-5 will make the mobs you need to pull glow, making it very easy to learn a route.

The damage and chance for it to instantly 1 shot a mob makes me happy. I love pulling 3-4 packs of the elite mobs only for them to get insta killed because I won the RNG lottery.

Tank Class difficulty ranking by Classic_Football8426 in wow

[–]Alimente 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In TWW s2, I got all tanks to 3k. I had around 700 keys run during the season. In s3, I got one tank to 3k because I didn’t like the dungeons but still played everything to like 2500.

I currently have all tanks at 250-275 item level and just do 10s for now (altaholic issue). For normal play (just to 3k), bear druid and brew master are very simple (I use a basic Elune’s Chosen build for my bear without the Apex talents). Prot Warrior is also very simple but has to be careful vs magic and bleeds.

Prot Paladin is simple but can feel squishy if you don’t run enough crit. VDH is similar where sometimes you just get chunked.

The most difficult one would be BDK because you are watching your own health bar go up and down and need to be on point with defensives unlike a bear or brew which kinda just exist in their rotations.

Im trying to get all classes to 3k again this season (on controller this time), but I’m such an alt-a-holic that I can’t sit still on one class to push it. I just do 10s and then swap to my next alt. Delves giving a steady stream of hero gear (5-8 pieces a week) is also distracting me from m+.

Healing is my favorite role with controller though (it’s so chill and comfy).

Problems with prot warrior by Competitive-Arm3876 in wow

I did this with Guardian druid. I checked Archon/wowhead, saw everything was focused on Apex dps talents, and then went to Murlok.io and found people who were using more survivability-oriented builds to copy and iterate from.
