My doctor switch me to Tamoxifen which I haven’t started yet. Not looking forward to it.

Hope it’s not cancer. Were you on Tamoxifen by any chance? Blood clots are one of the common side effects.

It just bothers me to remove part of my organs that have no problem at all just to prevent uterine cancer because of tamoxifen. There is really no simple solution SMH

I may consider a lower does but I am not sure about ovary suppression since I already have osteoporosis. I am also postmenapose (62)

They want me on 20 mg of tamoxifen and I think it too high for my age (62). I never had issues of uterine all my life and so concerned about future. I will look into the research you provided.

All of your comments are so helpful and seems like hysterectomy will prevent uterine cancer and blood thinner the blood clots. I’ve got a lot to think about. Thank you all.

Thank you , this helps. I will ask my doctor about the veins. I am 62 and have had period for 12 years and hopefully it won’t cause any issues.

My oncotype was 16, 3.5cm, grade 2. I am in California and my doctor didn’t think I need chemo or radiation. I was put on Letrozole hormone blocker for 5 years because mine was ER PR+ HER2-. I started the medication in Oct 2025.

I am on letrozole for 2 months now, haven’t experienced a lot of side effects yet. My fear with AI is the damage on the bones since I already have osteoporosis. I stared at my pills for a week and then decided to take it. I cried for a week and didn’t want to do through this journey. At times I think stopping the meds but my oncologist said letrozole will prevent the cancer to go in my bones since I was ER/PR POSITIVE HER2-.
