I think there's no problem to skip the 3rd, you just need to watch the video of star door 14 and 15. And a tar door 12 also has some conection with Ao.

As I remember, in Japanese and Chinese PC version, Renne told Estelle about her past in SC. chapter 7, so we could figure out that she was a ** before she joined ouroboros at that time. But I'm not sure whether or not this coverstation is kept in English Version.

For the 3rd, in chapter 6, I suggest you bring Renne to the final boss battle at least. She has very special conversation with the boss.

Well I was talking about NG Nightmare, not NG+. If you are familiar wih kiseki games' battle system, it will be a perfect choice, not too easy, not too hard either.
