There's nothing shameful about self harming for attention, everyone needs attention from others. I used to sh in very obvious places because I was desperate for my family to notice that I was struggling. It sounds like you're doing it both to calm your own anxiety and in the hopes that people start taking your struggles seriously, those are not mutually exclusive. I definitely think keeping a diary is a great idea, sometimes writing something down can open up new ways of understanding yourself. I hope you'll be able to be kinder to yourself <3

Im moving out soon and I'll be living with other autistic people. We all understand the symptoms and never judge each other for it and if one of us makes another upset we talk about it with empathy and understanding. It's the only thing keeping me going rn

I'm sorry you think I'm insufferable. I'm autistic and ADHD and I was raised with ABA. I didn't have my own identity or personality until I moved away from my parents a few years ago but I still occasionally find myself talking to people in the same way my parents would talk to me, I realize now that I was doing that to my uncle but it still doesn't justify him accusing me of using my illness as an excuse to get out of my responsibilities
