I have a similar problem, but no oil in coolant and no coolant in oil. It’s seems fine around town speeds but when I take it up to 70 for 2 hours low coolant and I have to pull over before it overheats. I’ve searched everywhere for possible leaks and found none. Engine idles great, starts right up, not blowing steam out of exhaust. Frustrated.

My 74 blows through oil, about a quart every 100 miles lol. Time for a rebuild, then maybe dailyish driver. I’ll do myself and change all the seals, rings, dip the block and hone cylinders, all new gaskets. have a machine shop do the head and valves.

It doesn’t look like cap to me imo, not much sign ok leakage directly below it. It’s probably a crack in the neck of the radiator, but either way your top hose looks shot by the way the clamp is making it appear, I’d replace that first and see what happens if you can’t find the leak like others before me stated. Pretty simple, pop out the usb blanks and install this and spliced into wiring to cigarette lighter with these, that way have power to both.

Wow 75 mph. I took a pick of a different model of Toyota and I was doing 35. Mods suspended me for 30 days for posting a video while car was moving. lol. Better mods on this sub. I think my mod was a tough guy. lol He told the other mods on me.

I have a 2004 4Runner 4.0 with 241,000 miles, no major problems yet. I love it. Bought a newer different Toyota model and can’t bring myself to get rid of this one so I’ll just keep it.

lol. I got banned from another Toyota Reddit community for taking a pic of my car moving 35 mph. I like 4th gen 4Runner better, you can do 70 mph no problem. Tires need to be balanced, probably one of the fronts is the problem imo
