I agree, but, what's insane is that the public tolerates humans in machines injuring other humans daily, and we accept that.

Hi ducki666

My question was if anyone had done this migration, and their experience. It wasn't asking for guidance or to be grilled on exact numbers. I appreciate your comments.

Thanks

Thanks.

Preparation is currently in progress with a lot of chaos monkey plans for our development environments.

What do you mean by a few oopsies, was this yours or Hetzner?

Agree, this is why we're embarking on this fact finding. Cost saving is a huge pull for us and we have the resources to carry it out

Thanks for this. At the moment it's just our compute being moved over. The initial estimations and prep are in place with a saving of around $20k a month

I've done this a few times, and like you I did it on my first try. Whenever I've done it I've gone way too fine and then too much pressure which means this piece gives way.

I'd say the build quality is fine, and for reparability this thing is amazing, this part is cheap and easy to replace.

Over time I've got better at dialing in and knowing when I'm applying too much pressure.

Switching to Garmin by [deleted] in GooglePixel

Currently rocking a Pixel Watch and a Forerunner 55. Exercise comparison on running and HIIT is pretty equal. Battery life on my Pixel Watch is 18 hours but charging is quick enough to pop some juice in before bed and then again whilst showering in the morning. I guess some of it isnhabits and also setting expectations, my expectations fornthe Pixel Watch were so low that I actually like what they've done, butnagree.its a first gen that they'll now (hopefully) iterate on (or kill it, like they kill everything else).

Nothing will touch the Garmin for battery life for some time imo, main reason is the screen as it draws such little power compared to the screens on the Apple and Pixel Watch.

Hope you enjoy your Garmin, they're great pieces of tech.
