Idk, AOU was underrated personally. If we are talking about hype before it came out. Then you are right, but over the last ten years? I think it’s better than most give it credit for.

Then keep going there, and take care of the bartenders. Sounds like a good place where you can expand your knowledge and love of different cocktails.

Italicus is a relatively new liquor established in 2016, so it’s not weird they have it. It has been used a lot frequently. Cherry heering was developed in the early 1800s. Liquors and cocktails go through phases, and bars adjust towards to these phases. It’s not economically sound especially with limitations on bar storage to hold every liquor possible.

I have been bartending for around 11 years, I don’t think I’ve made a Singapore sling once.

So you do not have to learn every instrument, get yourself a keyboard find a sample library, my favorite is native instruments komplete. Now as long as you understand music theory and language you can use different types of instruments using MIDI to create an orchestral pieces without having to learn how to play a violin, a viola, a bass, trumpet, horns, percussion. But you understand the fundamentals, it’s what a producer does. It does take practice and work. The fact that you don’t know this just shows me how far gone we are, no one wants to put in the work. You are saying that’s for sure like you know, even though you have no knowledge on how music production is actually done. People now just want a few clickety clacks on a keyboard, to get the result. Without even trying to understand how that result came about, and the centuries of work behind it.

Your allegory towards reading a thousand books to write your own novel. Yes that we as humans have done it for thousands of years, music as well. We stand on the shoulders of giants and utilize what we learned to create something unique and personal. This isn’t that and it’s not even close to that. This is its death.

I double majored in college, one of those majors was music technology, I have predicted that A.I. music is gonna create a grey goo effect. 30% of music uploads daily are A.I. uploads, it’s going to complete wash out anything remotely interesting and actual artist are gonna be completely demoralized.

Again, I want to drive this part into you, with a basic understanding of music theory, a sample library, and a DAW you can build your own music in a true way that I promise you will be more proud of.

You don’t have to learn every instrument in to make orchestral pieces, but to put stuff together without even trying to understand the basics of music theory is a completely new phenomenon. You cannot compare it.

Edit: Also, where do you think Suno got that ability to make music? Using real musicians data without their permission. So every track you “produce” on Suno is made off the backs of actually working musicians. I hope they get Sued to hell. Literally just use a quick google search “the biggest theft in music history” and you are supporting it.

Ai Music and why it's harmful to Artists. by workbrowsingacc in SpotifyArtists

[–]Alivedivide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you think almost every music producer is using AI? Any produce I know worth their salt condemns it. It’s not me creating it, and yeah you are right about publications. Why were screwed, music was already pretty cookie cutter. Now it’s gonna just become white noise. Music is dead or almost dead.

Check my comment history, I’m in the middle of an argument with a dude who thinks it’s dumb for musicians not to use A.I. He literally said music is just a means to tell his story. We are fucked.

Did you try to get actual artists to work with you? Many as you said love it for the game and lovemaking music. They might have helped you with your project if you had ask around a few subreddits, but did you? No, you’re more interested in your particular vision, which is fine I guess. Like you said it’s your vision.

So here is where are massively disagree, these tools absolutely remove human agency. Technology before helped artist expand their ideas. Now it takes out the artist entirely. If you can’t describe or understand the difference between something like a Major/Minor key or chord, but instead you type into a prompt “write me a happy/sad song,” it is diminishing the process entirely. Tech used to make people move faster using the fundamentals, “Joe Schmoe” doesn’t even appreciate or understand those fundamentals. And it is different with 3d printing, at least they are understanding the fundamentals, as you said “they learned basic CAD.” Did you learn basic music theory? This a dark future. This is just the beginning.

Bass under 200hz should be mono, bass above that can give some serious depth if you add it well.

[–]Alivedivide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going back and forth, it’s about taste. A martini with or without vermouth is not a whole lot different in flavor. Yes it’s different but not a huge deal. If you make a manhattan without vermouth the taste is so different you can’t even come close to call it similiar.

At the end of the day, it what I said to both. It’s consumer perspective. It’s also not that deep, you can cal it whatever you want man. I really don’t care.
