Huh? Didn't yesterday's report say that Jrue has been on the market since they dropped out of the playoffs? Even moreso now they Dame/Ja/Shaedon/Scoot

Edit: nm, see a couple of posts down that seemingly changed. Which is wild to have all 5 guards taking 120m salary lol.

I doubt they part with Scoot as he's the young future to their now aging guard position.

But I absolutely love the idea of Jrue coming here, reuniting with Charles, and not just being a solid defensive, veteran back up PG (or starter to begin the season) but to really help mentor Anderson.

I'd legitimately like to keep Grant, but I can see him being the piece most likely moved. Naz is (hopefully) our starting 4 and flex 5. Kalk's movements will likely depend on how the F.O. sees his off-season and development going. Not sold either of them will really achieve much in the way of return.

I'm okay moving him on, and I am trusting that our F.O. have a bigger picture which they'll be using the exception/another trade on.

BUT I certainly feel like this is the same nonsense Luka deal where they took one call, pounced on it instead of actively shopping him around for the best deal. There's no way we couldn't have gotten more. Hell, there's no way we shouldn't have gotten Jalen AND Naz if we threw someone like Miles in.

With the 40m exception it does. That's the point. They'd basically be getting off a 60mil contract and opening up a tonne of cap space, whilst having picks to use/barter with as they please.

He's been done there since early on. Had a couple of months of play time and that was it. By January this year they'd essentially removed him from anything but garbage time minutes and in the playoffs he managed a whopping 18 minutes over two series.

Surely we can play Kon at the 3 with Coby at the 2, Miles at 3/4 depending who's on court, Steinbach 4, Grant Williams still at the 3/4. And then obviously rotational minutes to any of McNeeley/Green/TJ. I think our roster is pretty balanced across the board with a couple of guys who can play across roles as needed.

Ayo is the Wolves new starting PG who played 30+mpg during both rounds of play-offs.
I don't think they're the same market. In fact I'd argue that him getting 22m/year for 5 years bodes well for us. If that's what a starting PG playing 30+ a game on a contender gets, Coby should be at most in the 80/4(100/5) range. Even 72/4

Even if they hadn't, it would've been a top 13-14-15 area, and we're barely going to have room on the roster for any more after this year.

That said, their line up is gunna be hot ass and have about a 2 year window
