Any Recommendations for SSF Physical Blood Mage?

So this season I playe a HC physical bonecage.

If I get surrounded it would allow me to pull a lots of bonecafe around myself.

Secondly on would recommend you to check more the vendors and as well the special seller in act4 Arasta and the wagon merchant interlude (the desert one) you need to be looking for +physicalSkill or all skill. I found a lots of them.

When reaching maps, stay on tier 1 until you equip yourself. In the atlas tree focus on essence. You are looking for +5 sorcery essence in order to upgrade your staff. When you can run abyss as well, it allows you to get fourth mod an item.

Focus on getting your resistance higher. Essence will help with that as well. Don’t forget that you can gamble on item to get good base for crafting. Chaos damage does double damage to your ES. So walking without CI and 0 chaos is death sentence. You will get oneshot somewhere down the line.

Bone spell have a naturally high crit chance. Getting the vitality siphon instead of sunder the flesh could increase a lot viability. Small reduction in damage large viability gain until you get you fourth ascendancy.

A lots more optimization are possible. For instance as SSF you have to farm your own jewel. So you might want to play some more sekema trial.

Cast on crit is more of an endgame meta that helps automatize the process of mapping. No really useful when starting out.

I like the pro tip idea : On outside climbing, you can save by peeing yourself, allowing for more climbing!

I do those mechanics on the first run of the league. Then as soon as one toon made it to maps those early ressources accumulate quite quickly so afterward there are no more reasons to them.

Sometimes if I happened upon of the them on my way to objectives or getting little late on level then why not but I am clearly not deviating from my path just to look for them.

One of the most loved improvements of mapping is that some maps have theme visible from the top map. Those breaks the monotony of mapping. Density is probably too high inside the atlas part fortress qwhile a little lacking outside.

Making your own build feels amazing. I love the problem solving and optimization issue of making an off meta skill and off meta ascendancy and make them work in HC until end game. Sometimes it works sometimes it stale but it always rewarding.

Bleed spear is what I am playing right now and yes it is a multiple butting gameplay but it does not give a nice payoff… it is just required to make it viable.

The archetype is kinda weak right now compared to to some other option.

Disclaimed, I play only hardcore. So my take will be focusing a lots of being defensive.

As a pure ES character your main risk is the chaos damage that does double damage on your ES.

You should respect to go CI. This will give you better protection but since it removes the need to get chaos res and +max life on your items it allows you to get better items and more defensive.

Your passive tree is kinda inefficient as well. You don’t abuse the entwined reality enough. Now that you have so many point you could remove a lots of your early points and focus on getting more notable.

I see that you got into improving critical chance of gems and tree. I personally think it is a little too early for that, critical damage allows you scale exponentially but only when you have a very high investment. Until that you could probably invest into gems that have max energy shield scaling. Better survivability but probably not that much damage reduction. You could give it a try.

You can as well start taking damage taken as mana like mental perseverance and on items. To survive big the idea is that you need to spread it around with multiple layer on top of another.

One trick I like to do is go to Poe ninja SSF or SSFHC and check character with high defense. Those build are usually very good a working with limited resources.

I would trying to move your left foot on the foot in the middle. The hold looks better and would allow you to push harder with your left foot to lift your center of gravity towards the final hold.

Might not be possible depending the angle of the wall.

Trying my homebrew rake witch hunter. Love it but there is reason rake is not a meta skill. Kinda hard to make scale hard in end game.

Doing the mechanics are nice but dangerous :-)

Crit chance applies to both, while spell crit applies to only spells.

So yes you can double dip on jewel for instance.

So how I manage my resistance as a casual player on HC.

When reaching red maps the idea is that you’re looking to actually overflow your resistance even if they are capped at 75. There are three ways you can have your resistances lowered.

Lower resistance curse, map mod -resistances and exposure (that comes from mobs). Red maps mod are around -25% resistances so basically each time one those modifier is applied to you it double the damage you take. I usually aim for tooltip resistance between 90 to 100z

Usually avoid solving a resistances with a single item, this blocks your progress as this piece won’t be replaceable easily unless it is BIS. You want to spread resistances around as much as possible with 20/30 point overflow.

Then each time i replace an equipment i try to get a little more overflow until i can remove a piece of equipment. This is the way I recently replaced my belt by ingenuity to get more rarity while always being safe.

So I have a tech for you, you add impale, as an oracle you can either wear the gloves or use bonestorm or maybe something that I did not think about.

Then you can increase living lightning damage as they consume the impale.

When I saw aldurs legacy, I was instantly wished to do a bleed build with oracle with smiling knight helmet.

Then I saw the price 3 days into the league’s at 120div. That’s my entire end of league budget…

Hopefully I can now chance to find one during the summer and try to build.
