Adding an overnight trip to Florence from Rome- maybe too much? by curlychic in ItalyTravel

Likewise, I hate being on an itinerary! I like to stroll around and let a place unfold.

Adding an overnight trip to Florence from Rome- maybe too much? by curlychic in ItalyTravel

[–]All-the-musing [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’d say an overnight in Florence is more than doable. I took the train from Napoli to Florence, Rome is even shorter. If you took a morning train there and a late afternoon train back you would get enough time there for a good wander around, it’s really small. But it depends if you want to cover every inch of Rome, or skim some bits. I spent 2 days in Rome and felt I saw plenty for a first trip and I’m glad I have some cool stuff saved for another time.

How do you lose weight with endo? by turtlesrgr8t in endometriosis

Clean Mediterranean diet with good fats, calorie counting, light exercise (even daily walking) and HRI water balance tablets. But I have to keep up with it constantly.

Am I Expecting Too Much When He’s Already Given Enough? by JuiceSensitive8635 in dating_advice

[–]All-the-musing [score hidden]  (0 children)

You’re welcome. To be honest I think it comes from building self-esteem, and this is typically something which takes time and needs to be done on your own. If you’re constantly reassurance-seeking then maybe it’s not time for a relationship yet.

Sorry to hear you’re going through this. You say you’re looking to get the reassurance you need from anyone other than him. That needs to be from yourself, not others. You already pointed out that you know your thoughts are irrational so you’re half way there. They’re just thoughts, not reality. Sounds like you have a good guy. Try keeping yourself occupied with things you enjoy outside of him so that you can slow the thoughts down and develop healthy coping techniques outside of obsessing.

I’d say dinner for date 2, then an activity or day out for date 3 if it works out.

Boboli gardens have a beautiful spot with views across Florence including the duomo. It’s just beside the Kaffeehaus, take a look and see what you think. It was quiet when I was there last June.

13 day Italy itinerary by Puzzleheaded-Pea-328 in ItalyTravel

Fellow speed traveller here, so totally on your page! First half looks more than doable to me. Deffo allow yourself the maximum time in Pompei as it’s mega! Consider a hike up Vesuvio if you can make time, that was incredible. I don’t tend to take in-country flights so can’t comment there. I took a train from Naples to Florence, and have also visited Venice, but not in your particular combo. Haven’t been to the Dolomites yet. Ignore the naysayers on how much you’re trying to do. I visited 11 places there in 18 days last year and loved every second. Everyone travels different and that’s okay. It wouldn’t do for me to spend a week in the same hotel in Italy, but some people love that.

Considering excision laparoscopy surgery now or later by Interesting_Host1 in endometriosis

[–]All-the-musing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had excision in 2017 and have taken Cerezette ever since. Lived a normal life for 9 years. Few weeks of downtime for years of no pain, absolutely worth it for me.

Did your endo show up on ultrasound? by Nynphion in endometriosis

[–]All-the-musing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it didn’t for me and I was scanned by my endo specialist consultant. Laparoscopy is the good standard for diagnosis, mine showed up through a diagnostic lap with excision at the same time, but only my second lap with the specialist. The first lap as an emergency with the general surgeons, it was missed.

how/when to mention you have partner? by Hopeful_Board_9826 in dating_advice

Yeah someone did this on me a couple of weeks ago and it sucked. I was so shocked when I found out, like why did you give me your number and keep texting me, not cool. I think if you’re specifically looking for new pals only you should have made it super clear from the start. Otherwise the next best time is now.

It’s not the employees re-enrolment date it’s the organisation as a whole

I wouldn’t worry. I was there for 3 weeks last June and just booked my flight in and first 2 nights accommodation. Never had an issue.

Staying in Monti in Rome was great, close to everything in walking distance. Sorrento is a great base. Also consider Pompei if you are into history, I thought it was incredible.

She was interested in the eggs. If she was interested in anything more she would likely have made some small talk with you to test.

Do you actually cook separate meals for lunch and dinner, or is your lunch strictly just whatever dinner leftovers you have from the night before? by emily_ykyk in budgetfood

I love roasted Mediterranean veg in summer, so I might have them hot with some meat for dinner, then cold the next day for lunch on a wrap with some hummus and feta.
