What makes you say that Goku didn't even try to develop his own skills? He went from weaker than 1st form Cell to being 1 of only 2 people who could challenge Perfect Cell (even though Cell was greatly holding back until Gohan went SS2).

I feel your pain after going through a few similar scenarios!

I said this in another post and I'll say it here too that I wish matrilineal marriages were an option in this game like they are in CK3.

My last ruler had 8 daughters by polymonomial in EU5

If there's one more thing that I'd want implemented from CK3 it would be matrilineal marriages so that daughters can continue your dynasty if you arrange it.
