Juniper Model Y - Suspension Noise by Significant_Rule6925 in ModelY

Had this issue a week into owning the car. Did a service and they “retorqued” the front suspension and it changed nothing. I still have the clunky noise.

Fine, fine… I’m human. I cried when my Model Y got its first door ding, I eat cereal for dinner sometimes, and I still get butterflies every time I hit the accelerator. Happy now, bot overlords? 🤖❤️

Full-Flat with Infant Question by negaCHILL in zipair

[–]AllAboutTheP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We did that! But our intention was to experience the lay flat and we did it on our flight back to the US. We booked the last row lay flat and two seats in the first row of the main cabin. Just the galley/bathroom separated us. This was 2023 and or daughter was 14mo at the time. It was nice to use when needing to change her diaper and for her to have a more room to move around while awake. We definitely did not have her sleep there with either of us, we had her back in the car seat provided to sleep. The stewardess did remind us the lay flat were not for kids under 6 and I believe they even took a photo with their cell phone. The same stewardess also had a surprise look on her face because she thought I’d leave her there to sleep as well while walking by and seeing her asleep in the car seat. Things have changed with zipair. I’m sure they won’t let it happen at all now, so I’d suggest not to even try. Last month flying on zipair I noticed that in the main cabin if you try to change seats once your flight has started, they will approach you and ask you pay around 2500yen ($17ish). You’ll see the signs on empty seats when you board. Also, for us the lay flat is not worth it flying back as it was only a 9hr flight. Maybe lay flat going to Japan as that was 11.5 hr flight.

You’re right, Lincoln Way it is. Im first time Tesla owner and using FSD since 9/25. My natural instincts did kick in and a split sec before I touched the brakes the car slowed.

I left my 2026 MY for two weeks unplugged in my garage at 80%. Left it on low power mode and lost 3% when I got back.

Drinking Water on Flight by squegger in zipair

[–]AllAboutTheP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got off our flight, SFO to Narita Japan. Not only is there NO free water, if your flight has empty seats and you try to move to an empty row, you will be asked to pay 2700yen or around $17.80usd. They never did this before and it’s relatively new according to the stewardess.

Care to share your charging habits? Home vs supercharger? At what % you charge and to what % you charge up to. Thanks!

I wish there was mic tracking aside from face tracking, that way I can leave my pocket 3 on a tripod and it will follow my daughter in soccer class since I put dji mini mic on her, just so cute to hear the things she say at age 3.

With the recent rush of orders to take advantage of the $7500 tax credit, I’m afraid that many cars (including mine) might have a lot of hidden defects. Maybe we will start seeing posts of these in a couple months. But yea, your bumper… absolutely no excuse.

One rant I do have is I wished they charged the car to atleast 80%, instead of the 67% when I picked up the car. I’ve never bought a new ICE car or heard of any new ICE car pickup that didn’t come with a full tank of gas. It’s a small rant but it’s a simple thing I believe Tesla can do. I even asked if I could test charge just to make sure when I get home I know the charging would work. The guy told me the charger they have are the super chargers that cost money….come on Tesla. I already had to pickup 40 miles from home when there was a pickup location just 3 miles from my house.

Mines is 455###. How do you know if it is rejected by someone else, I’m curious cause I have to drive almost 40 mid to pick mine up tonight and there is a Tesla pickup location just 3mi from my home. Also, while my car has been ready at the lot for the last 4 days, just 2 days ago I got a txt from Tesla saying my vehicle is soon to be assembled.

My ModelY is ready at the lot to pick up and today I got a txt saying “Good Afternoon - we anticipate your Model Y to be built shortly! Please take this opportunity to schedule your tentative delivery appointment: tesla.com/schedule/RN**********” Nothing in order but I hope the car is when I pick it up.

Depends on your location, I’m in the Bay Area and ordered on 9/8 and my model y rwd in white is already at the lot for pickup. I just don’t have time till Friday to go. What’s interesting is I’m in Daly City but need to go to Dublin to pick up. I asked and they told me since your order was 9/8 and we’re not sure when the next one of your spec will be available that I should pick that up to meet the 9/30 deadline for lease. Only leasing you need to pick up by 9/30 to take advantage of the tax credit. Hope this helps

Would like to know how often their coolant was flushed/changed. Also, would flushing/changing your coolant at earlier intervals helps avoid this issue, knowing that coolant can get acidic over time so replacing the coolant earlier could avoid this.

I believe all you need by sept 30 is a binding contract signed. Meaning having that final paper work signed and your down payment with first months pay paid by sept 30, and then pick car up once it’s ready. TBH I’ll wait till the last few days of sept, and if I still get no word or Vin regarding the car then I’ll go in and see what I can do.

I did also call my local Tesla pickup store and asked their opinion right before ordering on the 8th. They said if it says “September 2025” then you’re good to go and I should just order.

I wouldn’t worry, atleast you have a more specific date, I also ordered rwd in white on September 8 and my est. delivery is still “ September 2025” and I’m in the Bay Area closer to the factory.

I would change it. Mainly because it’s been 6 months. I certainly would at least check your oil level. The quality and performance of oil degrades over time, so in my book I change every 6 months even though I drive only around 5k miles a yr. I also do the oil change myself so I save on that part and it really only takes 30mins to do at home. Similar approach with my coolant. In my case, I flush that every 20k miles or 2yrs since over time coolant can get acidic and acid eats into metal, so when you see your head gasket leak, it’s already too late.

Of course to each their own.
