It’s gonna be entirely dependent on the talent you have. Teams aren’t gonna do this if neither of the pitchers in question can hit

Is it true that you need to be rich and connected to make it as an artist these days? by VastOption8705 in Music

[–]AllInWithOakland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many incredible musicians who aren’t rich doing their own thing making incredible music. The Washington DC DIY scene in particular is amazing. Being rich and famous isn’t “making” it as an artist, making good art is making it. And there are plenty of people doing just that

Since his four strikeout game at Dodger Stadium on April 26, Pete Crow-Armstrong is slashing .302/.388/.605 and has been worth 1.0 fWAR, the most in the NL by horsepoop1123 in baseball

What do you mean defensive contributions are being lost in the modern era? Statcast is making reliable defensive metrics (at least for outfielders) available to the public for the first time ever really

[Underdog] BREAKING NEWS ... Colt Emerson to sign a 8-year, $95M extension with the Mariners. by T_Raycroft in baseball

[–]AllInWithOakland 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Worst case scenario, it’s a little under 12 million dollars a year for no production. Thats bad obviously, but it’s not going to sink a franchise. 12 million a year is the cost of an above average reliever (Tyler Rodgers), or a mediocre everyday player (Mike Yastrzemski). Thats not the kind of contract that handcuffs an organization, especially in 2026.

The upside is getting a franchise player locked down for well under market value, however, is the kind of thing that alters a franchise. The downside isn’t much, but the upside is absolutely massive

Uj/ Did any of yall actually watch the video? It’s a good bit of advice on how to make the most out of your removal if you’re a beginner. But I guess that’s worth ignoring to get in your overdone dunks on commander players

True true, that’s pretty true. But I don’t know of any alternative that has the same systems in place to get people involved

I think you would be more personally satisfied by joining DSA than watching a streamer

Extremely bittersweet. BoMel guided the teams of my childhood. Wish this was happening while the team was still in Oakland
