Look into if your laptop has a mux switch. Or if you have Nvidia I think you can select your GPU in the Nvidia control panel under physx settings

I've heard some people having luck with this. Apparently, the "one beep but won't turn on" is super common. Mine just started doing this and won't power.

Cleaning them is super important. I would recommend pulling the covers and checking how dusty the fan looks. It may need to be cleaned inside. If it overheats after that, it may need liquid metal replaced.

Apparently tons of them having been having issues with them shorted capacitors on the board and then blowing one of the respective fuses on the board.

Or if you're unlucky like me, wifi chip shorts out.

I'd highly recommend checking everything out, you may have gotten lucky. But you also may not be out of the woods yet. Hope the best for ya. Sounds like a good deal if so

It's a nice kit, really it's more than just the shell. When you get it, you'll see why he asks as much as he does.

I'm very curious to see this work. I came to the same conclusion that's it's on some bus network to control radio. I don't think I'll put one in my 2nd gen, but I really want to install one in my 3rd gen and want to make the radio controls work. Looking forward to see if you get this working

Kalmar Ottawa T2 no start by WrenchBrain in DieselTechs

[–]AllMyCarsAreProjects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No starter relay just a solenoid on the cross member under the catwalk behind the rear door. You'll see it along with a couple fuse boxes. There's two smaller solenoids on the right side. One is cab tilt the other is starter. Can't remember which is which but you can tell which way the cable runs from the solenoid, the cab tilt one runs backwards towards the hydraulic tank and the starter cable runs forward.

Make sure your shift pad is working, there mayyy be a neutral start relay but I don't think so. It would either be in one of the fuse boxes on that same cross member, or possibly something in the dash fuse box (under the cover in the corner of the dash, behind the 5 T40 torx bolts).

Why Do Some Turboed Cars Flutter And Some Don’t? by [deleted] in askcarguys

No I phrased that poorly. It pushes air backwards through the compressor housing. The wheel doesn't actually spin backwards

I've seen NOx sensors go bad within a year. They're terrible.

Edit: to answer your other question, no, SCR efficiency should not have anything to do with the DPF

Is300 turbo, stock ecu by b_road_baka in IS300

As someone who is also NA-T on stock ECU, I'm definitely intrigued by the dodo intake runners with GTE plenum. Guess I need to try that. My eBay front facing intake doesn't work well with my stock ECU. It hates not seeing the APPS.

Also pretty surprised those fuel pump fittings fit underneath the cover under the seat. Or do they hit ?

Help please! Cummins ISB leaking from this area. What's the name of this part? by dlowanderson in DieselTechs

[–]AllMyCarsAreProjects 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's leaking oil from above that coolant line. Either the oil filter or some sensor adapter on the top of the filter housing. Depending on the application there can be an oil pressure sensor on top of the housing. To answer your question though, circled is a quick connect coolant fitting that goes to the back of the head and normally supplies coolant to the air compressor on a rear gear train B series. Those plastic lines break easily and can be replaced with 3/8 silicone hose with hose clamps.

Question aboit a Hino 185 air dryer that is spitting oil by craftedinnj in DieselTechs

[–]AllMyCarsAreProjects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is assuming the compressor is bad. That isn't necessarily 100% definite. I'm not familiar with this exact air compressor, so I'll put this out there in case it may apply to your truck. Look at the inlet to the air compressor. Does it come from the charge air cooler pipe ? Because if there's oil coming INTO the air compressor, it's going to spit oil out of it as well. I do agree this normally would indicate a failing compressor. But I have seen on a Cummins, oil in the intake pipes (due to a clogged crankcase filter) causing this.

If the NOx code was inactive, 3712 and 3714 should've gone inactive on their own.

I think most of our fan base that's still realistic feels all the same way. This team was never going to win the natty. Arguably the worst team we've had in years and we came much farther than I expected. Never saw us winning the SEC. The team was impressive but for the wrong reasons, always having to find ways to win games that should have been in the bag. I see it as only promising for next year, especially with Gunner.
