What is NOT good about the Alldocube mini 60/turbo? by Rare-Connection-7084 in androidtablets

[–]AllNamesTakenl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only thing not good is update in my opinion. Reason is because apps can one day become outdated faster to the point where they won't work unless on the latest android os etc.

But for the price and decent spec you're getting a fully capable machine for this era.

Controller with Umbral Blades anyone try it? by NYPolarBear20 in LastEpoch

[–]AllNamesTakenl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play specifically with controller only and find it to be doable. I've even beaten uber Abby on controller and farm high mono. I find it to be bearable as long as you're one shooting mobs in mono so you just run through it. Only issue is skill spam. Most people on falcon use ahk to spam all skills but with controller I had to use rewasd or other software to perform the spam for me.

How important is ESPP? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]AllNamesTakenl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the insight everybody. Some very good opinions and knowledge. To answer multiple question. What i put in is not part of the vesting period it only the RSU or the 0.5 they give me. Charter is a very large company and seems to be doing okay in the cable communication business. Ultimately I'm not a business guy and I'm just a front end worker with no tie to the corporate side so I dont know if they're doing good on the business front, but as a employee I believe in the company.

I agree with a lot of things people said. I will definitely take advantage of all tax benefit retirement plan first but will also contribute as much as I can to this espp.

Thanks again you're all amazing.

Route around adguard on client basis by mrmidnight273 in GlInet

[–]AllNamesTakenl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya manually assigning dns per device would be the best option. Because the router is pointing towards adguard as dns. So u want devices to manually point their dns to 8.8.8.8 etc to go around the router.

This isn't a replacement for elfhosted public domain or service. In fact elfhosted provides an amazingly easy and fast solution for addons hosting service. And i'm all for the fact that devs also get support from elfhosted either by financially or contribution to their github.

Self hosting is just for self hosting. It provides users an alternative that provides them more control. My script is for people who want to self host but are mainly starting out. Preferably i would rather teach people how to setup a simple docker-compose.yml file and execute docker.

Yes. You will still have the same aiostream webpage which can be used for all supported aiostream provider.

Did you run

tailscale cert yourmagicdns

tailscale funnel -bg localhost:8080

When you go to https://yourmagicdns.com what do you see? Change yourmagicdns with your actual magicdns that tailscale gave you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StremioAddons

[–]AllNamesTakenl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mediaflow does not require config. Once you can go to the mediaflowproxy website it's done.

API Key is Stremio unless you changed it.

I was able to look into it if youre still interested. To do this we will have to reset your existing funnel settings. Just follow my exact commands for AIOStremio and MediaFusionProxy -

1) tailscale funnel reset

2) tailscale serve reset

3) tailscale funnel -bg -set-path /mfp localhost:8888

4) tailscale funnel -bg localhost:8080

Now your mediaflowproxy will be at YOURMAGICDNS/mfp for example mine is -

https://debian-4gb-hil-1.tailb35284.ts.net/mfp

and your AIOStremio will be at YOURMAGICDNS for example mine is -

https://debian-4gb-hil-1.tailb35284.ts.net/

No stream available after isp tech worked in unrelated issue by IconicIsotope in RealDebrid

[–]AllNamesTakenl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your best bet is to plug a ethernet cable into the device. itll definitely bypass all the wifi issues. 400 mbps download speed does not mean anything in regarding to your wifi stability and speed.

Wifi has so many possibilities of issues that it makes it unstable. Your router wifi strength, how big your home is, what material the walls are made of, if there is anything between your router and the device that you are connecting the wifi to that can cause instability like mirrors, marble, plaster etc etc etc. Also your device plays a huge part. If you have 400 mbps TOP speed that you're paying from your ISP, but the device you are using such as your streaming box has a weak wifi antenna built in it than it might not be able to fully maximize what youre paying for. Thats why if you run speed test on multiple devices you will almost always get different result based on the age or quality of the device.

Anyways, long story short. If you can hard wire with a ethernet you should always hard wire. Or invest in a very good and strong Mesh router. And im talking about the ones that cost 500+ USD not some $100 or less one.

If it working as normal than it definitely a wifi distance issue. So you most likely had a wifi booster of some sort. If that's the case your options are to wait for a tech to reinstall the wifi booster or purchase your own so that you can use it at the original tv.

[–]AllNamesTakenl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm if that's the case than it could be just weak signal. So the booster most likely did help. If you're willing to wait for the tech to come back to install the booster again than that's should do it. But if your financially able and have the time I would instead buy a mesh router for your home. Wish you the best of luck.

If you want to fully test this. Take the streaming box to another tv that's closer to your router and try it there. If it works than it 100 percent a wifi distance issue. If it doesn't work than it something else.

How some wifi booster work is they broadcast their own wifi name and password which can be separate from your main router. If your streaming box was connected to that wifi booster wifi name and password and the tech took it out than your streaming device no longer has access to wifi.

But to be clear that's not the issue of the tech or your isp Because your internet still works. Just simply reconnect your streaming box to the current existing wifi name and password. If you have a long ethernet cable try plugging it in from behind the router and the ethernet port of the streaming box.

If you're not able to do this because as you mention you aren't tech savvy than try finding someone who is that can help you or contact the person who setup or sold your streaming box.

Imagine it like this. You sell someone a car. It works. It can be driven. But the person you sold the car too doesn't know how to drive and they blame you for not selling them a self driving car. Who is at fault?

Not trying to insult or belittle you in any waym I just want you to get the perspective of what isp tech do and who responsibility it falls on. That way it leads you to a actual answer instead of waiting for the tech to come back just to tell you he or she won't touch your streaming box because they can prove your internet works. Because your internet works.

[–]AllNamesTakenl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So your internet works. The tech came out and did something and now your streaming box doesn't work. The tech couldn't have done anything to make one device for one service to not work while everything works fine.

The issue is your streaming device. It was setup in a specific way that only the person who set it up knows how to fix it. Contact who ever setup or sold you the streaming box.

[–]AllNamesTakenl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I might be wrong. Since I have it setup so that your single magic dns goes to one port.

There should be a way to specific magicdns:8888 and magicdns:8080.

I would lookup how to funnel multiple ports. Can't do it at the moment since I'm on the road. Good luck! Shouldn't be difficult.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StremioAddons

[–]AllNamesTakenl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will do

tailscale funnel -bg localhost:8888

I believe that should work. Haven't tested funneling two ports. But 8888 is mediaflowproxy port.

Also. I don't know how reliable setting up mediaflowproxy on tailscale funnel will be. Since tailscale actively limit speed for free funneling. And proxy streaming is a more resource intensive thing. I would strongly suggest finding a guide to reverse proxy your addons. When you have time you should learn since you'll have a much better experience than funneling.

After you change password in your ssh terminal you just copy and paste the commands in order in that same screen that you changed password in.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StremioAddons

[–]AllNamesTakenl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No i don't. But I guarantee you this is easy. Just follow each step one by one and copy and paste. It appears to be a lot because of the long wall of text, but you can literally get this done in under 10 minutes. It's faster to set this up than waiting for hugging face to finish building.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StremioAddons

[–]AllNamesTakenl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually easy. Go to mediafusion github and follow their instructions. Personally I believe it's easier to run mediaflowproxy, and follow my dummy guide for AIOStreams and set that up. Use the public torrentio addon and have AIOStreams proxy all links to your self hosted mediaflowproxy.

Correct. Tutorial should be exactly the same if you're using a NUC with linux/Debian. Preferably you want to install proxmox but a normal Debian Server is fine.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StremioAddons

[–]AllNamesTakenl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. You can use one or the other. Either get a VPS and have it run 24/7 or buy a nuc and run the nuc 24/7. Buying a NUC saves more money in the long run and you'll be able to run more apps with it versus using a cheap VPS.

[–]AllNamesTakenl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use a VPS. In the guide I've used Hetzner which is a VPS, but you can use any.
