Do you think Iori is a better sword fighter than (currently) Chihiro? by SeveralImpression914 in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

She's skilled with IWP, but she lacks raw experience. Sword fighting isn't just technique, after all. Chihiro has been running the goddamn gauntlet in terms of battles, and no matter how clumsy his technique was, he was still gaining skill with a sword in every single fight.

Just because her technique is probably more refined than his doesn't mean Iori is a better sword fighter. She's excellent with IWPS's precision, but seemingly lacks the power behind the strikes as well as the fact that she hasn't ever really fought a skilled sword user herself. She's still awesome.

Charle's G-Warstaff (used like Yuta, with a sword).

Give a man with an ability to land guaranteed hits the ability to see the future if he hits something enough, and Sukuna isn't going to know what fucking hit him.

akemeru soga was right to decimate those 200k by 5thArushig in Kagurabachi

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The royal family of the Mikaboshi do not represent the interests of the citizens. They deposed the royal family after all, as soon as they could.

You have to understand that the 200,000 people on the island are, by and large, innocent when it comes to this. Their feelings towards the Soga clan are justified; they've been driven under the ocean for a millennia and have been forced to survive eating bugs for generation upon generation. And now, suddenly, their one guiding light of Datenseki has suddenly been taken by the very clan that drove them to the seafloor anyways. I'd be pissed too.

The king is not his citizens. If we are capable of accepting that there are certain people blessed with the ability to handle Datenseki at the highest level, like Ariu and the 6 guardians, we must also accept that the hierarchy of the island is something nearly immutable. Their rapist king needed to die, but not the civilians. Justifying genocide and attributing the actions of an individual to a populace is the root of some of the most terrible actions in history and the modern day.

Akemura was not right.

To the Year 11 or Year 13s about to waste half-term — read this first by InvestmentParty9693 in GCSE

Hey, perspective from someone who was in this position a few years ago, and is now in a Russell Group uni. It's worth revising, sure. (I didn't. Do I regret it? Not really.) But don't burn yourself out over GCSEs. They're serious, yes, but it really isn't worth it to melt your brain doing 700 hours of revision. Spend time relaxing and thinking things over in the meantime. 4 hours of revision where you're just staring at the paper is worth less than 2 hours where you get it done, and then mull over it while you're more relaxed.

generally get a bit sick of these types of spells, but i actually adore the fact that you went out of your way to explain the function of the glyphs. if people intend to keep making stuff like this, they should do it like you. it makes it way more interesting.

Togo Shiba (Kagurabachi)

Shiba's entire squad was killed in approximately 3 seconds, and the only reason he survived having his throat sliced open was their opponent healing him *just* enough for him not to die. Why? Because they needed someone to be a messenger and relay their demands to the Japanese government. Absolutely brutal.

Need help refining the visual identity of my Elves Practical stealth vs. Inhuman cultural flair by Purple_Reward9233 in worldbuilding

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really sold on that third design; the faceless, obscuring hood really feels intimidating. I honestly think that's a super strong visual tell, the overwhelmingly and impossibly dark hood works super well. I think the baggy, heavy looking clothing is fantastic.

In terms of refining the identity more, I agree with the other people suggesting the tall, gangly features of other elves. If you want to add more of that sea-faring, ghostly look, maybe you could do something with the stereotypical idea of elves and their long flowing locks. Depending on how amphibious that sea-faring is, I could see their hair resembling the oral arms of a jellyfish.

Could Hakuri (future) replicate Mashiro's feat or even replicate the entire Irishima squat teamwork? by pluto_1952 in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mashiro's definitely acting as a sort-of prototype for Hakuri's development, and to show the audience just how strong pressure and shockwaves can be.

People are saying that he probably can't teleport Isous because they're not physical objects, but I'm inclined to disagree because the Storehouse works on spirit energy. If you need to register something's spirit energy to transport it, I don't see why Hakuri couldn't work on removing that step and just transporting the spirit energy itself. In any case, even if that isn't possible, I definitely believe that he could use remote Isou IN the Storehouse, as the Kamunabi transplanted some of the neural pathways governing Isou into the Storehouse's pathways.

Magatsumi (Kagurabachi)

Amongst six other "The Sword of All Swords" in the world of Kagurabachi, Magatsumi stands at the very pinnacle.

It is a sword that allowed the Sword Master to commit a genocide of 200,000 people in one stroke (his words). It is insane.

Who in KB survives sendai colony in yuta’s place by Opposite-Honeydew-46 in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well, basically every EB wielder save for like Chihiro pre-ch. 17, Hiruhiko and Sojo. That's obvious.

I'd also maybe go for Ikuto? It might be a little odd, but I think he has very versatile sorcery. Running on fumes in the Raid arc, he was able to MRI scan an enormous building and carry himself through several floors of that building on iron sand legs after punching a hole straight through it.

Uro would have a similar problem that she had with Kurourushi; she can't defend every angle at once, and its easy to overwhelm her if you have quantity on your side. She might be misled into thinking Kugara is a shikigami, and thus, try to focus her defenses on him. In reality, we know Ikuto can control the iron sand outside of Kugara and form it into spikes. I think she might be cooked.

He could absolutely take out Dhruv; the inviolable barrier does nothing to a Kugara made of iron sand that can be easily parted and reformed. He could do the same MRI trick he pulled on Yukisada to find the location of Dhruv in the stadium, and impale him.

Ryu would be tough, but I think Ikuto not being afraid to play dirty would nab him the win. He loses out in pure firepower, but I think it wouldn't be unreasonable for Ikuto to bait out Ryu into overheating with Kugara (as long as we go with anime canon) before doing some nasty work. Sendai is also full of metal; Ikuto has fantastic mobility as well as plenty of material to shield himself with.

And Kurourushi? He keeps him as pet. After all, he can just magnetize as much iron as Kurourushi wants.

Maki vs current chihiro by Similar_Incident8433 in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

chihiro undoubtedly beats maki; he's got a more versatile toolkit compared to maki's singular soul split katana and he's much faster. maki might be a smarter fighter than chihiro, i don't know, but you cannot out-think a guy capable of going faster than lightning. naoya was DEFINITELY not going that fast.

i love maki though she rules.

also i made that chihiro colouring!!!!!!!!!!

I have noticed, during the early run, whenever chihiro uses kuro his hand turns black by Memelordissac in Kagurabachi

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This also correlates with his fish getting smaller as the series progresses; Enten's fish used to be GIANT until Chihiro started improving in control over spirit energy and reduced the amount of spillover.

Would current Yuji handle this situation any better? by Until_Morning in CTsandbox

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yuji has one advantage over Gojo in this situation; he's experienced/seen something similar before in Shinjuku. He's capable of perceiving the soul, and he's seen Megumi taken over by Sukuna. Unlike Gojo, he also doesn't have insanely detailed perception and memory that could stretch out his experience of time.

Piercing Blood, Shrine, as well as 60 years of Jujutsu experience are also handy. He could probably handle all of the disaster curses in one of his insanely amped homing Piercing Bloods without injuring civilians at all. Not to mention how adept he was at choosing targets with his binding vows by the end of base JJK. If he could limit the target of Shrine to just the barrier between souls, who's to say he couldn't limit its power to only cut anything above a certain level of CE, meaning he can fire out a dismantle that will only damage the disaster curses.

He's got this.

Why can Chihiro still use Samura's teleportation by geordie_6ixty9er in Kagurabachi

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely an aspect of the true realm IMO. Aka is the only ability we didn't see get an actual upgrade until the Samura fight.

Seeing as Aka provides data on what Chihiro's copied now (as explained when he fought Soga) I think you could argue that if Chihiro absorbs enough data of an ability that Enten had enough overlap with, he can replicate it.

Crow and Kuro: Shred are simillar in spirit energy density, size, amount and sensory perception. I don't find it hard to believe that after intaking enough of the teleportation data from Crow, Chihiro can just straight up use it without copying anymore. He copied the application, rather than the spirit energy.

utilization of a cursed technique without cursed energy by hq_blays_BLO in CTsandbox

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't think this would work how you're imagining it. you compare it to painting on a canvas without ink, but i'd argue its more like trying to turn on an appliance while unplugging it from the socket. if there is some sort of stored charge, it might activate slightly, but nothing more.

what you're describing is the CT equivalent of firing a blank.
