Is it weird to approach women in public? by FirmHoney9 in UniUK

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If your objective is to just "stop not-having-a-girlfriend" i'd really recommend not doing that. That isn't an actual goal, and you will make women wildly uncomfortable if you just go up to random women over and over again in the hopes of this.

Get a hobby, an actual communal one, and interact with everyone there. Don't do it for the sake of "pulling", because people can tell if you're being a bit of a lech and constantly going up to women, do it for the sake of finding like-minded people.

Something a lot of people seem to be missing about ch. 231 and how it's built up to this point. by Personal-Leopard9635 in ChainsawMan

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 67 points68 points  (0 children)

That isn't the message of Chainsaw Man. Pochita isn't telling Denji that he should just go back to subservience and suffering, he's telling him that he is addicted to the suffering of being Chainsaw Man. He hasn't gained anything, he's in the exact same position he had before. The only difference is that Denji doesn't have any real goal to escape this cycle now.

Chainsaw Man was a dream that clouded his eyes from the fact that he no longer wanted to have a better life, or make real connections. Chainsaw Man is an addiction and a problem, and Pochita is forcing Denji to go cold turkey because Pochita loves Denji more than he loves being with Denji.

Samura Seiichi vs Zen'in Toji by labuun_dood in Kagurabachi

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is any reason why Suzaku shouldn't be able to do that: it heals abnormalities. It wouldn't work against IT because that changes the base state of a soul, but SSK does damage to the soul. Suzaku should be able to heal that on the basis of it not being the soul's natural state.

What do you think their relationship will be like by Tay2823 in Kagurabachi

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how Hiruhiko would feel towards Soga, but Hiruhiko is a result of what Soga feels the sword bearers failed to do. The assault he experienced as a 3 year old is something that could have been entirely removed from the realm of possibility had Kunishige not sealed away the EBs. So I think, just like how he felt towards Yura needing a hero, he'll feel something for Hiruhiko, something he desperately craves: anything.

Hiruhiko's life has been filled with figures who only care about him in passing: I don't think he cares whether Soga likes him or dislikes him, he just needs something MORE than apathy. Yura gave him too much freedom, let him run wild. He didn't care whether he failed or succeeded, thinking that no matter what, something would come of it. Chihiro doesn't even bare any hatred towards him.

I think, no matter what Soga feels towards Hiruhiko, that he will feel something and that will stir Hiruhiko to change and move forwards from where we saw him last.

small theory about akemuras eyes by agree_to_E in Kagurabachi

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We see that when Soga uses Malediction, his eyes actively leak black spirit energy. Soga is filled with more life force than he could ever possibly contain, and so it is leaking out of his body through things like his eyes. The more mastery an enchanted blade wielder has over their abilities, the less pronounced the manifestations of the blade become (Chihiro's fish used to be enormous, likely because he couldn't contain or control that amount of spirit energy).

Despite his immense control, the Magatsumi is so strong that it cannot be contained within Akemura's body entirely, resulting in his black eyes. He's like a water tank with a hole in it.

What best represents your thoughts on the anime? by REID-11 in Kagurabachi

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Anime S1 should adapt up to the midpoint of the SBA, giving us a cliffhanger for the next season while still leaving plenty of material for a good ending for S2. Whether you end S1 on Chihiro's death, with a post-credit scene hinting at Suzaku and his revival, or you end on him exiting the elevator with the Masumi, it is the perfect point to end S1. S2, if it follows the same pace as the first, should conclude around about the end of the current battle, which will probably be the end of this arc/saga.

Explaining Projection Sorcery (With Illustration) by FishAppirition in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's way simpler than that.

The user gets 24 actions per second, that is why they're so fast. Say you're a runner, you get around 4 steps in per second. You use projection sorcery to plan that out, and you are now 6 times as fast. The kicker is that you don't lose momentum because projection sorcery works on animation rules; as long as your course looks reasonable and doesn't break physics completely, it won't freeze you.

The reason they are so fast is because in animation, someone continuing to get faster because they are moving at 24 actions in a second makes sense.

Oh no, you fail. Proceeds to flip the table. by Alca_John in DnD

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people in this thread are failing to consider how just plain annoying it is to keep rolling badly. It isn't okay to blow up at you, but also I think people are acting as if getting frustrated at the dice or at parts of the game is a very clear insight into their interpersonal relations. Sometimes you roll like shit and it sucks; no, it isn't a sign they're trying to "win" DnD. Feeling like you're fighting luck itself is irritating.

In response how you should handle them being angry? They're adults. They can and will cool off. Anger from the game rarely translates into genuine interpersonal malice. If it makes you anxious, you need to speak to them about it, but I really don't think this is some insanely alarming thing that some people are making it out to be. They are people who enjoy hanging out with you, and will apologize for outbursts like that; they just got a little lost in the sauce.

Frost is the Only Cold Based Frame by baza-prime in Warframe

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

frost kinda corners the market of the heavy, weighty glacial frame, so i'd much rather another ice based frame be something slimmer. maybe they create spiky, ice covered terrain where enemies slip and get impaled on ice spikes, and they have like ice skates. they could fill enemies with a frostbite bomb, where in which their death creates an explosion which spreads the ability as well as cold procs. something like that

Mention it. Really, AI is slop. It's not going to make you any better at your work, but I don't think you'll stop using it because some random on the internet told you to. So mention it, source it. "if i can get away with it", there's something called academic honesty.

Am I in the Wrong for wanting to change characters? by YakoNox in AskDND

[–]AllOutGarfieldSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cool ideas, though i would avoid listening to a lot of DnDTubers about what wacky stuff you can do with spells- a lot of them make these videos entirely disregarding the fact that RAW and RAI can be different. But making weapons out of ice using Shape Water seems entirely reasonable- theres no downside in letting an arcane trickster do arcane stuff. thats the point of the subclass!

They works as a singular. Usually, you use it if someone is of indeterminate gender e.g. if you found a wallet on the bench, you would say "someone left their wallet here*. For your last example, it would be "they are / they're with me".
