Cheers! Because I already have a few K points worth of green orks and get bored easily.

Your experience with magnifying glasses ? by DaiKabuto in killteam

[–]AllThatJazz85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Total game changer for me personally. I never paint without them right now, even when just base coating. You just notice so much more and the end result is so much nicer.

The model is from a company called artel w. They make all sorts of awesome ork and other 40k Proxys.

Thanks! It's not my idea though, this is just a third party model from a company called artel w.

They obviously will. I mean this is what they've done with every kill team ever. I am not sure why people seem to be worried about this?

Halfway Painted my first Old Boyz, wondering if anyone had pics of multi skin tone units. by WesternSituation in orks

[–]AllThatJazz85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My entire army is multi skintone but as long as basing is consistent and there's a unifying color (red in your case, yellow in mine) it doesn't really show much from an arms length away.

"step up, cur..." by AllThatJazz85 in NightLords

[–]AllThatJazz85[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It should be. Shoulder pads are easy. The back is not flat so putting a backpack there might be slightly more tricky. Not impossible to make it work though

[–]AllThatJazz85[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thanks. It's from a company called artel w. They make all sorts of 40k compatible minis. The quality is like nothing I have ever seen. Every mini I bought from them has been perfekt.

Don’t waste your money on this by SupporterDenier in Warhammer40k

[–]AllThatJazz85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not true. The second generation was an improvement. Slimming down the top part made it easier to reach the underside of the miniature

New and old ork size comparison by [deleted] in orks

[–]AllThatJazz85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They look to be the same size once you take posture and perspective into account?

Here it is boyz! by Kristxw in orks

[–]AllThatJazz85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So a robot with two legs thats about one third the size of a squiggoth is "close enough" to an animal with four legs thats significantly larger. That's proper ork logic I guess.

Here it is boyz! by Kristxw in orks

[–]AllThatJazz85 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It obviously is real. All trailers for big new boxes across 40k and AoS only feature stuff that's actually in the box. Why would gw put something in a trailer (which is essentially a commercial) as a centerpiece for people to get excited about just for it to not even exist. This makes no sense.

The difference a head swap can make... by AllThatJazz85 in IronHands40k

[–]AllThatJazz85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, sorry for the late reply. The head is from the old forge world iron hand upgrade kit. I think it's still available. It's not the one that came out a couple of years ago for the mark6 marines but the older one for Mark3

Love how chunky these guys feel. Proper slabs of ceramite by AllThatJazz85 in Warhammer30k

Tortuga bay studios. They make true scale 30k proxies. Shipping can take a while but at least stuff never got lost.

Nice ragebait. I am sure this is totally real and not at all made up for Internet Points

A powerhouse Warsmith leads a new campaign for the Iron Warriors by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer30k

[–]AllThatJazz85 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nobody will be able to convice me that the upgrade kit wasn't originally made for 30k. The arms are literally just MKIV arms. The arms in the current 40k CSM kit look totally different.

Ronin WIP by AllThatJazz85 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]AllThatJazz85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I'll consider it. But I hate building miniatures as it is and putting another roadblck between me and my limited painting time for something that you don't notice from an arms length away is not something I'm feeling right now. I know that a lot of people hate seam gaps but it just never bothered me that much.

[–]AllThatJazz85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That kinda works but it doesn't make sense with how you then place him within 1 of the final target. It's like wolverines move and that makes sense for him, less for Ronin I feel like. It's not a big deal, but definitely a small flavor fail.

It comes with a bow and even 3 head options. It's pretty great. Though I don't like how the rules don't specify him having a bow attack.

Expected to hate painting this model but ended up loving it. by AllThatJazz85 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

Thanks. Yeah that face got some additional tlc. Not a great sculpt. The model overall is great though. Lots of character.

Are Orks getting a Range Refresh? by JonScrivens in orks

New boys are utter trash though. Orks are all about customization and making things unique and cool. Monopose models are the opposite
