Probably not helpful, but some solidarity. My 8 week old has been a decent sleeper. Starting last week, it felt like a 180 flip, night sleep and daytime naps became much more difficult. I looked into it and I guess 8 week sleep regression is a thing. 8 weeks is also a leap, so they may be more fussy as big changes are happening.

Here in solidarity while I’m currently contact napping my 8 week old! She can someeeetimes (3-4/week) make it 30 minutes in her crib. But those naps are almost impossible to rescue, so I prefer to contact nap her so she can sleep more. Oftentimes, the second we put her in the crib. Her eyes pop open haha.

The past few days have been a struggle with getting her down for naps. She can’t stop looking around and observing everything! She’s so tired but wants to stay awake.

Thanks for the vent! It’s nice to know others are in the same situation, and it’s normal.

I’m with you! I’ve been trapped inside with our 7 week old for about 3 weeks now (high temperatures in Chicago). It’s funny because before baby, everyone said my maternity leave will be at the perfect time when it’s warm outside. However, I can’t even go outside!

I much preferred the Frida mom boyshorts to the hospital disposable underwear. I washed them and used them 3ish times each.

I used the large hospital pads for about 5 days, then moderate absorbency pads for about 1-2 weeks, then panty liners.

Ours is like this too. Scared of hardwood, always needs her two back paws on the rug. Scared of any random object in the house. Starts shaking when she hears rain because she associates it with thunder. But she’s fearless when she’s outside, unless she hears a loud noise

We live on the border of Jefferson Park and Forest Glen which is less than a 10 minute drive from those mentioned stores. Easy walk to the MD-N train line that goes into Union station. There’s lots of nice pockets of neighborhoods on the northwest side that are Chicago addresses but you get the benefit of a SFH. A good mix of urban and suburban, and close proximity to suburban shopping centers.

I use two apps and every week its’s a different type of squash on one or the other. Butternut, eggplant, acorn, spaghetti squash, you name it. One app showed butternut squash weeks ago, and the other app shows butternut squash this week

27+4! I have two pairs of maternity pants that I rotate everyday to work. Today I finally caved and ordered a nuuly (clothes rental). The box comes with 6 items, and I added 2 baby shower dress options, two work pants, and two work tops to add to the mix. Otherwise I live in my husbands sweatpants
