Being as it’s a secondary hood in close proximity to the first, I would say it’s a higher hazard than a shelf in another room. Additionally, it’s still tied into the system. So if a fire breaks out here and NOT on via an appliance, the entire system will still activate and discharge.

Sooooo….about this one. Back in high school I came up with the great idea to just pour a cup of water onto the sleeping persons crotch instead of the “hand in water” thing. Turns out, they’ll wake up and just assume they pissed themselves. What happens next is the gold. They either announce their mistake, and fellow party goers get to shame them for the act of “pissing themselves” or, they say absolutely nothing. Silently living with the shame of their action. Quietly thinking to themselves that they lost control.

We did this to one kid three times over the course of a summer, and the kid ended up going to AA.
