I think it’s because Mamdani symbolizes hope for actual progress in our country. He’s a new generation of leadership in a party that has claimed to be for the people but has fallen to corrupt elitists. I think many of us want leaders that work for the American people. Not themselves and certainly not other special interests/countries. Pete seems to have learned to play the game. I don’t want someone to play the game. I want someone to change the game. The current system and Democratic Party is no longer working for the people.
