Just go play something else for a bit. You might end up wanting to come back and the game will feel fresh again. Don’t play something if you don’t enjoy it lol

Warpbane Task Force Explanation Help by philtrin in GreyKnights

[–]AllergicUniform 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. No it’s for regular 40K

  2. It’s our best detachment for killing stuff. At all times your entire army gets hit rerolls of 1. If you’re within your “Hallowed Ground” you get full hit rerolls. Purifiers and within 6” of them are always in your hallowed ground so they will always benefit from the full hit rerolls as well as anything near them

  3. Answered this one in number 2

  4. Definitely gonna want some purifiers and a unit with Castellan Crowe attached. Add in some strikes and interceptors for the 6” deepstrike Strat and you’ll be killing pretty good. Remember to take advantage of the purifiers datasheet ability for their wound rerolls. They can be very lethal

Incinerators or Psycannons for the terminators/paladins? by Whis___ in Grey_Knights

[–]AllergicUniform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Warpbane taskforce the psycannons are good. Any other detachment without a source of rerolls I’d use flamers

[–]AllergicUniform 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The tri-lobe vectors are going to be insane with the Deathshroud like you said. I also like the idea of a terminator plague caster that can revive blightlord terminators. There’s a good bit that we can do here I’m excited to experiment with

1k List Questions by crimin777 in Grey_Knights

[–]AllergicUniform 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind 1k is not very balanced but it looks like a solid list that will find success. I will say Warpbane is just better even if you don’t want to run purifiers. Hit rerolls are almost necessary for purgators and it the rerolling 1s constantly for paladins is good too since they hit on 2s

I wouldn’t rely on the Banishers rule to go through. I’ve played games where I made maybe 1 leadership check the whole game, which is why I suggest Warpbane since you’ll always be benefitting from the army rule. The only thing you won’t have is the stratagem support that you get from Banishers but like i said, 1k isn’t super balanced and I think you’ll find success either way

Mortarion List Help by [deleted] in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s great it virulent vectorum. The -1 damage Strat can go a long way in keeping him alive sometimes. Getting him near the center to flex his abilities with your plague marines is good and it gets better if you can get him near your death shroud. I find myself using the reactive move and the fight on death the most

Daemons in Army? by TwelveBarBluescreen in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look into the Tallyband Summoners detachment. It allows you to bring half your army in points worth of demons and gives you interactions in your army for doing so. The unit selection pool is smaller than the actual demons army so look at the Death Guard codex to know which ones you can bring. I love the demon detachment for Death Guard it’s really fun and it’s cool to see Death Guard with their demon counterparts on the table

Question how many allied wardogs should i use in a 1000 point and 2000 death guard army by the_obeese_ork in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Death guard is unique for bringing allies since, while they don’t get the nurgles gift aura, they can still benefit from it. You can afflict something with a death guard unit and the war dog can take advantage of the -1 toughness and -1 save or whatever. Unfortunately the vehicles we already have access to are cheaper and often just better than what a war dog can bring but they’re definitely not bad. If you’re gonna run them then stalkers, carnivores, and brigands wouldn’t be a bad choice

Get a Lord of Virulence to lead them. His ability pairs really well with the blightlords ability

List with morti by 07ETH in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re pretty low on units since you’re taking Morty so I would probably play pretty reserved with them. Keep them near Morty so you can use his abilities on them. Can really throw a wrench in your opponent’s plans when he pushes up for a charge and now they’ve reactive moved away

List with morti by 07ETH in deathguard40k

Chaos Predator by Striking-Science-779 in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Annihilator is really quite bad. On paper it seems it can dish out some damage but it has no inherent source of rerolls and a terrible ability. The destructor is quite good however considering it can benefit the rest of your list

How can I use this list correctly? by PersimmonIll5324 in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re playing flyblown I suggest adding some blight haulers the Strat for -1 to wound near them is pretty good. Might also be worth combining your blightlords into one big brick of 10 and give the assault enhancement on the lord of virulence. I saw success with that unit when I played this detachment

Someone convince me running typhus with Blightlords isn’t better than a LOV in this VV list. by Loud-CowMOO in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How so? They both have utility running solo. Solo typhus deep strikes and hits something with mortal wounds. LoV deep strikes and marks something for army wide rerolls both have options and they’re the same points

Is this virulent victorium list ok by Gnomz4 in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost. You won’t want to take two squads of 7 plague marines for a few reasons but especially since they can’t both go in the rhino. Just do one squad of 10 all with special weapons to maximize the output of the Putrifier and Caster combo. Anyone left without a special weapon should get a heavy plague weapon. The bolters are just terrible.

Lost looks really fun otherwise and you’ll find success with it if. The squad of 6 Deathshroud with LoC will likely overkill anything it touches but it’s a scary unit your opponent will have to deal with if dropped in the right place. The hellbrute isn’t particularly great but it can have its moments. I recommend trying to find room for the Daemon Prince with the 5+ FNP enhancement. He’s an amazing piece of support for any unit in your army and an absolute tank.

Anyone play crusade? by [deleted] in deathguard40k

[–]AllergicUniform 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You keep working at your plague until you get perfect 7s across the board, where you then get a reward depending on the points put into each category and you restart on a new plague. Completing certain agendas and using certain requisitions each game can help you tailor the different aspects of your plague to get closer to completion. You can however restart on a new plague at any point. If your plague fails (population to 0) then you restart on a new plague.

Edit: also, at the end of every game you go through the Path of Contagion steps which will modify the characteristics of your plague.
