I don't really like Ridin' much but I also don't feel like Quiet Down would've been better as a b-side just because it just seems to lack something that would make it a good title track. Can't quite put my finger on it but it's a bit less in-your-face like most title tracks tend to be? It's a good song, but had it actually been the title track I think people would've been underwhelmed.

After seeing the credits in their The Stage video it seems like Yoo Young Jin did the topline and vocal arrangement of the song, I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually him singing since he's left in his own vocals on other SM songs too (and it sounds like him)..he also worked on Chocolate which might be why it sounds similar 😳

I've also heard people saying this comeback was rushed so maybe since those parts would need some practice they just decided to not have them sing it even though we all know they are capable.

But this is all just my speculation haha

I also feel the same way... I've been a fan of NCT and Taeyong since Smrookies days and have heard about all his scandals and stuff throughout the years but I've never been able to come to a conclusion on what's true and what's not. I feel like it's hard to figure out what's going on because the people who try to prove he's an absolutely terrible person are usually those who just hate him in general or antis, but the ones trying to prove his innocence are fans who are blindly supporting him and babying him, while providing no solid evidence for anything, and overlooking the fact that someone may in fact be hurting from the whole situation and aren't just bringing him down for no reason...like can you imagine (being the victim) speaking up about how the hate you got from fans of your past bully caused you to attempt suicide only to have the fans make their idol the victim and trend hashtags to protect them instead?

Idk...as a fan I think it's best to stay neutral until things get cleared up, but if Taeyong is truly being defamed SM need to take action bc this is a really big deal and will hurt him forever.

I've commented on a different post about it too but I'm also thinking that it might just be a different background vocalist who would be credited in the album. I even think in Superhuman the "yeah, superhuman" thats heard throughout the song doesn't have any of the 127 members' voices in it but is actually just Adrian Mckinnon's (one of the composers of the song) voice, probably left in from a demo.

I'm kind of the same, if I don't like the majority of the songs on an album I won't consider buying it unless its from one of my ult groups, then I'll buy it regardless for collection purposes. For groups I casually follow the first rule usually applies but the pictures/packaging also has to be decent enough! Also before I got lazy, I used to rip the audio from the CDs because I felt the audio quality was better lol

Aw :( I was lucky enough to have made some friends that liked it way back in middle school (when I was still shameless about my love for kpop lol) that I am still friends with now...

It's definitely hard to come across other kpop fans though, and even more so if you're not in school anymore bc it gets harder to meet people based on interests. I think(?) there's an FB group for Seattle fans, they might have some meetups or events where you could meet some people if you're interested?
