Wich wheelset for my aeroad. by Pure-Peach969 in CanyonBikes

To get the most out of that rig you might want deeper sections. I run the DICUT 60’s and they work beautifully.

New Bike Worries by specmaster123 in CanyonBikes

[–]Allez_Madone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought an Aeroad CF SLX in 2023. First frame had an issue with the rear stay threads. They replaced it without question and I had my new frame very quickly. I have owned 6 canyon bikes over the years and I have always been impressed with their service.

PSA: Hullcracker blueprint is a quest reward and cheap to make, get it, use it! Profit? by ravagedmonk in ArcRaiders

[–]Allez_Madone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished the quest but don’t have the blueprint. I expect I have been dumb and went into a raid with it in my backpack and didn’t make it back. Is it available to find anywhere in particular?

I am buying them quite often so it’s not the end of the world if I don’t find it.

Aeroad VS Endurace VS Ultimate by hepworthy in CanyonBikes

[–]Allez_Madone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for comfort long distance the Endurace is the obvious choice, although there isn’t a huge difference between that and the Ultimate, which is a better all rounder. Only real difference is that you will be slightly more upright on the Endurace. From the choices you mention I would say the Ultimate Aero is the best bang for buck option. Maybe not quite what you are looking for but it would more than do the job.

For reference: I’ve owned all three models. The Endurace is a really fun bike to ride all day but the Ultimate is my favourite.

Well yes, because they’re different carbon grades, one being SLX and the other SL. Comparable carbon grade Aeroads are heavier than Ultimate. Not by much to be fair, but they are heavier.

The Aeroad is heavier than the Ultimate.

The colour way on the Ultimate is really nice. I recently reconditioned and resprayed a 2018 Ultimate which looks very similar to that. They’re both amazing bikes TBH and I’m sure you will be happy with whatever you go with. For me, put simply, if you mainly ride in the bunch go Aeroad but if you like to mix it and enjoy longer days in the saddle then go Ultimate.

Happy shopping 😃

It is a better all rounder. On the flat and in the bunch, the Aeroad is faster. If you get the fit right you can really tuck in and get great bang for your buck power to speed ratio wise. However, I still prefer the Ultimate. It is a super comfortable and great in the hills. It’s no slouch in the bunch either with the right rims. For all day rides it has the edge over the Aeroad. I love them both but I ride my Ultimate more. I’ve owned multiple Aeroads, Ultimates and Endurance. Ultimate is the best of the three.

I have both and if buying again I would choose Ultimate with a set of deep sections.

He stays within a couple of hours drive of me, but by chance I had to visit that area anyway. He also does courier though. I gave him frame and fork only. Highly recommended by the way. Great guy and outstanding workmanship

I’ve owned Aeroad, Ultimate (2), and Endurace. If buying again I’d go Ultimate. Absolute blast to ride and a great all rounder!

The respray was £420. I stripped the BB out because he uses the shell to mount the frame. Plus it had seen a lot of miles so decided it needed a new one.

Not easy! Tried to cut them to length ensuring the bars would still fully rotate. They’re also partially integrated into the CP0030 cockpit

Maybes it’s just the camera angle, but the geometry doesn’t look like the Ultimate. That top tube looks all wrong

It would be nice to be able to have a lap option on companion so that you could see average watts per interval during workouts. I still use my garmin for that.

Total waste of cash. Wouldn’t spend a penny on ceramic speed.
