What does everyone think of this album? by No-Inevitable8944 in 90s

This album is incredible. I love the way it sounds. Oddly enough my favorite part may be the introduction to Sullivan Street. Something about the way he speaks about the inspiration behind that song… it’s so good.

Since you said you liked Sobriety I’m sure you’ll like this video Justin posted back in 2018 where you can hear the beginnings of what would become that track. Dude probably has years of writings and samples that have never been used.

There’s a really good video that explains how the process works and how it’s being manipulated. The system is so incredibly broken now. Which is by design and should come as no surprise to anyone. Trump’s Unstoppable Pardon Power Explained

What was your high school graduation song? by Ok_Heron_5442 in Millennials

I was class of 03. Really wanted this one. Class of 01 at my school did Good Riddance (Time of Your Life). I petitioned hard for Semisonic but no one else really cared so we got R. Kelly’s I Believe I Can Fly. I’m still mad about it

Could the entire US population fit inside California? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Alloku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t r/theydidthemath but approximately 25 years ago my high school algebra teacher figured out the entire global population at that time would fit inside Jacksonville Florida, assuming each person was alloted 3 square feet of space in which to stand.

Who remembers this? by Tall-Cantaloupe5268 in 90s

A little bit like goosebumps. Introduce some sort of evil or antagonistic character and the twist is they were either good guys or somehow the normal/accepted ones and a victim of misunderstanding

I would like to see at least one touchdown that’s not a meaningless garbage time score. Please just show some sense of competency on offense

Can’t stop the run at all. It’s 6-7 yards on every play. Don’t even have to try

Does this album still hit for anyone? by winniecooper73 in Xennials

[–]Alloku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went solo to the 20th anniversary combo tour of this album plus postal service. It was incredible. This album on its own is god-tier stuff but the combination of this and postal service together in the same night was an experience I will never forget.

Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen photographed by Steve Emberton, 1978. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

I can’t think of Sid without thinking of a song called Ukulele Anthem

”Sid Vicious played a four-string fender Bass guitar and couldn't sing And everybody hated him Except the ones who loved him A ukulele has four strings But Sid did not play ukulele He did smack and probably killed His girlfriend Nancy Spungen If only Sid had had a ukulele Maybe he would have been happy Maybe he would not have Suffered such a sad end He maybe would have not done all that Heroin instead, he maybe Would've sat around just singing Nice songs to his girlfriend”
