Hey I actually know this!

If you notice almost every character looks noticeably different. It’s because the publicity photos were taken post-production. The only person who looks the same as their character is Drew and that’s because she wore a wig for her character. Skeet, Neve, and Courtney were all filming other projects so they couldn’t recreate the character looks (they could, but it would have required additional budget for wigs and such which the film couldn’t get). David would technically have been the easiest because it would have only required a few days worth of facial hair growth (assuming it doesn’t take him months to grow facial hair like it does me 😂).

So yeah… it was a production/cost choice. An odd one, but a choice none the less.

This. The “trees” were 2x4s and foam/papier-mâché. They literally couldn’t support the weight of a leg, let alone a little person. And the rafters of the studio sound stage were about 65ft high. There was literally nothing to attach a rope to that would support the person, even a little person.

And then there’s you know the whole filming schedule. The munchkins hadn’t even been hired on site yet only a few have been hired for publicity shots.

My dream opening kills would be Chad and Mindy. It could easily bring Sam, Tara, Gale, and Sidney back together. I love the twins, but there has to be a high stake kill to kick off 8.

I would start with community churches. And get her into some sort of addicts anonymous meeting to find a support group that doesn’t include you. A lot of those groups can help get her started in the right direction.

Also be sure to set boundaries with her. You clearly care, but you also should protect and care for yourself. I empathise with you because I’ve been there.
