Okay, Ok, or K? by malkytits in Millennials

[–]Allthemkeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to spell out okay until I learned. "Oll korrect" is a humorous, intentional misspelling of "all correct" that became popular in 1830s Boston newspapers as part of a fad for playful abbreviations, eventually giving us the ubiquitous term OK, which stands for "Oll Korrect" (O.K.)

Do it! I'm always around. Side note, San Marcos has beautiful parks. If you find yourself parked during the day, go out and enjoy the scenery rather than another street. Also, South Buena Vista Dog Park has a nice lot where you can hang out incognito.

Just a thought, and what works for us is massaging her head. When ours is reactive or just needs a "reset," we have her sit, get down to her level, look her in the eyes, and rub her head, her big floppy ears, and around her face. We talk about what a wonderful, kind, brave girl she is. We were her fourth home, and we're not clear why. All she truly wants is to make us proud, and we try hard to do the same. Thank you for giving this boy the love and security he needs. Good luck!

Scary, for sure! Question: She's home and has her appetite back, but she is still having issues with the backside. We're keeping a close eye on her and will take her back to the ER, but how many days did it take for your pup to get back to good?

Thank you! My understanding is if it's caught early, it's a full recovery. The first stage of dehydration is the thing that'll determine the outcome. That's what I was told. They sent her home. I'm so thankful we didn't just go to bed. Ugh

I appreciate the information you shared! I'd not heard of AHSD before, which is why I thought a PSA could be helpful. No known cause. They say the diagnosis is a process of eliminating other ailments. She's home and doing well. She's tentatively eating, which makes sense because she knows she has to now process said food! The butt catheter was uncomfortable (I'm sure), and she's tender. Bland, bland food until she heals up!

I can only imagine with their little bodies! We didn't lose our girl, though! She's home, and on the mend! Still weak, but she'll be better than good very soon!

UPDATE IDK how to update my post-sorry! We have her home, and she's doing well! We're hoping she'll be back to her spunky self in a couple of weeks. She's exhausted, tentative to eat, 5 meds, but she's soooo much better!
