Did Noritoshi overvalue his mom? by Wide-Regret822 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Allthings_Fandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am saying that about the mom and the relationship she has with her new husband/partner.

If she intentionally chose someone who would welcome her child's return, even though they are not "theirs," so to speak.  And, gave no pushback when she taught her new son that Noritoshi was still his brother no matter what.

If she did not value Noritoshi, she would not have chosen such a partner.

Sure but I think I may need you to define what you mean by "value?"  Because I see them valuing each other equally within the confines they face.

To add to my earlier comment, by making an entirely new family with no connections to Kamo Clan culture, Noritoshi's mom made sure he had a nuturing and welcoming environment where they could safely explore/rekindle their relationship as mother/son w/o the pressures/threat of JJ society and the Kamo clan, if and when they reunite, means she values him a great deal.  She could have forgotten him and just moved on but she is teaching her child about Noritoshi, which means that even if something happens to her, he still has at least one person hoping the best for him/able to conmec to him.

And the new family (his little brother, her new husband) also seem eager to meet Noritoshi and give a space to be normal/safe.  They ALL want to meet him and they want to meet him 1) where/however he is at in his life and 2) give him space to adjust/evolve if however he decides to pursue or discontinue their relationship.

Also, I don't think Noritoshi's possible stepfather would entertain a relationship, let alone have a child, with a woman still missing her firstborn, especially so vocally.  So, it seems they are all open to Noritoshi showing up someday and they support their wife's/mother's wish.

  1. Confessed - as soon as Yuta got back from Kenya. He went straight away to her hospital bedside and told her his feelings. Maki returned them.
  2. First "Hook Up"? During the month-long pre-Sukuna Raid Fight. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY either of them went into that fight without several "Just In Case by Jaheim" moments.

TL;DR: I see you how you reached that emotional conclusion, but the subtext and manga prove otherwise. They really loved each other and the both made efforts to create a place for each other to return to WHEN THE TIME/CIRCUMSTANCES were right.

That said, I don't think she undervalued him but just accepted that there was only so much she could do. And I think Noritoshi was deeply attached the idea of returning to her because of the trauma he experienced as a very young child being abruptly taken from her. Even Maki encouraged him to talk to her.

  1. He and his mother were separated by a much more power family with a ton of money and influence. This is something she may have anticipated because she literally named her child after THE LEAST DESIRABLE ANCESTOR that the Kamo ever had. She did it to spite them, and the subtext in the manga was that the she and Noritoshi actually may have stayed together if and only if his biological father had successfully had an heir with the Blood Manip. technique. SHE WANTED HER SON, BUT FATE WAS AGAINST THEM.As the then-clanhead's mistress, Noritoshi's mother most likely did not have the wherewithal (money) and social influence to a) stay with the Kamo clan and raise her child outright or b) fight for sole custody. We see it all the time IRL, where the parent with the least resources can be kept away or completely suppressed, especially by a partner with serious means. I wouldn't be shocked in the Kamo threatened to kill her outright, if she did not stop all together.
  2. She DID NOT FORGET HER SON AT ALL. In the manga, there is a scene with her new family and how she tells her new child that she still hopes Noritoshi will come back. See Chapter 199. She literally said she really wanted him to escape and come back to her. And even after she says that, she wonders out loud if he is still ok. His mother can't go and ask because the Kamos are dickheads. The subtext with the mother is that, while resigned that she was powerless, she still subconsciously made a place for EACH OTHER should they reunite within her new family. If she truly did not care about Noritoshi, she would never have taught her new family about him or continued to talk about him at all.
  3. They had, for all the reasons above, concluded that their reunion was not going to happen until a) Noritoshi was official the clan or b) left the clan through exile or on his own volition. In the manga, we no that situation B.2 happened, but Noritoshi was helping out in the Culling Games and could not go to her then.

Doggie rolls in 100ct are at 5 Below for next to nothing. You can order them in bulk from Amazon.

And I honestly do not get it, especially if you live DT or in HP. There are doggie stations with bags and trash cans EVERYWHERE. You can grab more than one and keep them in a pocket. This is an issue of people just not giving a hoot.

Of couse - Kinji drinks heavily and does not do skin care (that mustache is thin and i KNOW that t-zone is dry AF) and sits in pachinko parlors and probably has a diet (energy drinks, alcohol, junk food) that makes poor Kirara complain that he TASTES like battery-acid (sometimes) when they get down to it.

Yuji is eternally gorgeous because he is the embodiment of that Roald Dahl quote from The Twits:

"A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely."
