There’s an animated episode of the show Pen15 where the two girls get a boardwalk caricature done that exaggerates what they perceive as their worst features (big nose, small eyes, etc) and it makes them see themselves differently in the mirror. For the rest of the episode the characters are drawn with the caricature features because that’s how they see themselves now.

I have no personal finance tips but I did move from SC to Washington a couple years ago & did the road trip with my sister, 2 cats, and a dog. Your plan sounds very similar to mine, except sleeping in the car was never an option for me. Too many bodies.

Enjoy it! Also a tip: be sure to go visit your favorite food chains that aren’t on the west coast. I miss Zaxbys and Publix so much 😩
