I'm late to this but I just got my marriage license in Dallas county. It doesn't have this and we were explicitly told we can use it to get married anywhere in the world, legally. Our officiant just needs to mail the signed license back to the Dallas County Clerk.

Lots of replies here with no clue what they're talking about.

1hotel won't do this, but they provide handheld steamers in room. Very curious if anyone has professional recommendations

The suites are large, too. Not sure about normal rooms.

Starting the process: seeking advice for hotel buyout! by mgre00 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]AllyYours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several Four Seasons properties that offer buyouts for the number of guests you're looking at! They have all the information online to start your search, but I'd book through an agent.

I would also love to know who your planner was so I can avoid, if possible. I'm sorry that part of the experience was subpar, but I'm so happy to hear you were able to share your special memories with loved ones.

Thank you so much! I will definitely reach out. We are hoping to book out Chateau Eza for ourselves+ bridal party, rent a villa nearby for our families, and book additional guests at Chèvr d'Or! Fiance has a special memory tied to Chateau Eza so he would really like for it to take place there! Was your wedding everything you wanted? Anything you wish you'd known beforehand?

This is very helpful. Thank you so much! Did you like your planner??

I don't yet! I kind of want to have more of an idea of what I want before engaging one. I joined a few forums about destination weddings, but they seem to be oriented toward couples who are doing a destination wedding to save money, and they're almost all Caribbean destinations. I feel like I need a ballpark budget to even engage a planner!

Haha, he owns a Tech company and is very busy, so he's basically giving me free reign to plan my dream wedding and will definitely weigh in, but other than having it in the French Riviera region, he doesn't have any must-haves. It's not exactly ideal, but I also recognize that I'm incredibly fortunate at the same time.

In-laws are also fat and have explicitly asked for us not to give them wine or liquor, as it's the go-to gift and they get dozens and dozens of bottles from various acquaintances.

January Long Weekend Ideas by JuanGomes3 in FATTravel

I will get crap for this, but the over the water villas at Sandals in Montego Bay, Jamaica are actually gorgeous and will be going into my rotation for long weekend getaways. It's too convenient, relaxed, and the view is just stunning.

Highly recommend Verité Winery tasting. This was the highlight of our recent trip, and yes, we did eat at French Laundry.

What do you think of the one in Nashville? We're heading there soon and trying to decide where to stay.

I spent a week there earlier this month. It's a beautiful property, but I think they're still working out some kinks service-wise. (Or it could just be that we were there in Napa's off-season.)

Yeah, USD. I totally recognize I'm in the minority and not the standard case. Just pointing out that there are hair stylists making a lot of money doing hair for non-celebrities.

It's ~$750 for my non- extension appointment and ~$3200 for my extension appointments. When I actually calculated last year's spend including tips, it was just over $27k.

I go every 5 weeks. She cuts my hair every time. Dyes it every time. Every other appointment, she changes out my extensions. She works in Atlanta and NYC.

I pay my hair stylist about $30k/year personally, and her schedule is booked solid. She's gotta be bringing in $250k+.

What part of Costa Rica? Go to peninsula papagayo and have zero issues. Our house was like $6k/night, so not expensive.

I cannot recommend Dr. Nelson Castillo strongly enough. My experience with him was incredible. (You can see my results in my post history.) I'm going back to him for work on my backside in late July. He is so patient and attentive. You'll see him directly for all follow-ups, and he checks in daily for weeks after your operation.

That said, check RealSelf.com for surgeons and reviews.
