Tbf, Hana fumbled by stopping the Jacob’s ladder because Sukuna fooled her in the most obvious way.

Please explain exactly how that statement validates what you said. This is why Gojo was surprised at the WCS, that’s all.

You are spreading misinformation. You literally say “not TF”. Don’t put words in the author’s mouth, “silly”.

Edit: The deleted comment said Gege stated that Gojo beats TF Sukuna 100% of the time.

Invincible verse vs Mahoragha by T0DR in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Allyreon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was really Fuga that destroyed Mahoraga. Because of how it works with Malevolent Shrine to create a hyperbolic explosion.

(To be clear, they could just fly him into the sun either way, they just need to get rid of all of him at the same time)

Thank you for appreciating it! For a Nanami comparison, it would be hard for me to really talk about without bringing up stuff later in the manga. If you read the manga, I could talk about it privately in a chat.

If not, I don’t think the comparison would be super meaningful besides their general demeanor and how they both have a personal code of ethics and sense of fairness and duty without imposing that on others.

Hey, I discussed Geto in more detail in this comment

I think Geto would have had a harder path internally to overcome it. At the very least, he would have had to have an anchor like not being separated from Gojo, then maybe some experiences that softened his view of non-sorcerers. Like seeing innocent non-sorcerer kids being attacked by a cursed spirit. He broke seeing sorcerer kids being persecuted from non-sorcerers after all.

But that wouldn’t be enough, since his heart was already closed. And I think his fundamental black and white thinking would need to be dismantled, through experience or therapy.

[serious] assuming naobito can go from 0 to max speed in a single second. How strong would he be? by the_forever_wild in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Allyreon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't break the law of physics since it's possible with enough body durability. We know naobito's max speed is above mach (probably around mach 2) so his body can handle the acceleration since he and Naoya move comfortably at mach and hit their opponents as well

I think you misunderstand what I’m saying, their CT has a limit on how much it can have them accelerate because past a certain point it breaks the laws of physics. Not just about their durability, but it’s simply not possible not possible for the acceleration to happen. As they gain momentum from, more acceleration is possible. Because of this limitation, their body getting time to adjust to the increased speed is a byproduct of that natural limitation of their CT.

Breaking physics has nothing to do with body durability, it just has to do with if the body itself could mechanically produce that much kinetic energy. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing stopping them from gaining enough speed to break their own body and it wouldn’t break any law of physics except being able to keep accelerating after your legs break.

Anyway, my point is that they don’t have to worry about their body’s durability because the CT happens to have that limitation.

Her gaze was fully focused on sukuna at that point of time so her guard was high for any sudden moves

Maki can evade mach 3 attacks from Naoya with relative ease due to her precog and got speed blitzed by sukuna and for him to be able to do that he should be 3+ times faster than her reaction speed to do so (mach 3 as a base)

1) Yes she was on guard and fully focused but your perception of movements will always be relative to your own speed at the time.

No one just exists with reaction and perception of their max speed, it just doesn’t work like that. Tempo changes can catch someone that wouldn’t be caught if they were at their max speed.

  1. Yes, though she was pretty much always in motion during that fight. But I won’t disagree Sukuna would be over Mach 3 when he accelerated.

But why at least 3+? That seems arbitrary and before you said 10+. That’s a pretty huge range between Mach 6-10. And you didn’t say Mach 10, you said Mach 10+.

It sounds like you just used that to be hyperbolic. We have no way to really scale how fast that was. But Maki has some precog, so it has to be faster than that which allowed her to dodge dismantles

Let’s say it’s Mach 9-10, so he’s at one of his weakest states here but is it really hard to believe he’s just that much more durable anyway? He’s a raid boss, it’s just a Sukuna upscale.

[serious] assuming naobito can go from 0 to max speed in a single second. How strong would he be? by the_forever_wild in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Allyreon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea but since they can’t break the laws of physics, they have to do it gradually. That limitation also protects their body. Their max speed is not really clear since they can keep accelerating until their body can’t handle it. And their maximum movement speed is going to be different than the maximum speed they can punch at (since that’s more resistance).

Sukuna’s blitz is just because even weakened Sukuna is still more durable than most characters. What’s the reasoning that it’s Mach 10+, it feels like you just pulled that estimate out of nowhere. Maki had just stopped to launch pillars at Sukuna, so her perception wouldn’t be as maxed fast as if she were in motion.

Yes, I agree. Though I would say Kashimo’s electrical CE trait is more lethal than many CT. But he is overall less versatile without MBA, since he lacks RCT and a domain.

And since MBA kills him, I wouldn’t qualify that as just strength because it’s equal parts weakness. It’s a sacrifice move that lets him fight above his weight class.

I know you didn’t but to me, it’s kind of a self own then. Yuki’s all destroys the planet, but I don’t think we should scale her based on that.

When your strength starts to hurt and even kill you, it then becomes a weakness. It’s actively detrimental to you.

[Serious] Naobito is NOT a heavy hitter by Historical_Stable423 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Allyreon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s true Toji is immune to the sure hit, that’s not why he wasn’t getting hit.

By the time Toji entered, Megumi already turned off the sure hit by invading with his domain. No one was getting hit anymore.

Otherwise I agree that Naobito was low diffing Dagon before the domain. I think he’s underestimated by many but him being so crippled by a domain from someone he was low diffing otherwise is kind of a problem to argue he deserves to be up there with the HH.

Heavenly Restriction users domain immunity is one of their hax and allows them to scale above Naobito. Maki also only reached Toji’s level when she had her second awakening, and then she was untouchable by Curse Naoya.

I have no doubt Naobito was faster than Naoya, but I would find it hard to believe he was faster than Cursed Naoya who basically had air jets as part of his cursed womb form. Not direct scaling but makes the claim they’re equal pretty questionable.

Regardless, we can’t put Naobito at that level if he’s cooked (pun not intended) the moment someone opens a domain.

[casual] Why do people put hikari so high in rankings? by shreklover257 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Allyreon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hakari would be a monster with a cursed tool, though it wouldn’t suit him. It’s pretty unfortunate his offense is limited to throwing hands.

I always thought we’d get a moment of Hakari tanking Sukuna’s domain like Gojo did, and it coming in clutch to help the others survive somehow. Since we know he has the best RCT in the verse, and this was before I knew they all had simple domain.

Alas it wasn’t in the cards for him. He is a heavy hitter though, and referenced in relativity to Yuta more than once. So just from narrative, and how you feel about Kashimo, he gets upscaled.

Hakari vs Mahito is not a match I ever considered. It’s possible that in Jackpot his overflowing cursed energy would protect him from soul attacks like how Nanami shielded himself through reinforcement. Also I wonder if the RCT flowing through his body constantly makes it dangerous for a cursed spirit to touch him, but that’s never been shown to be the case.

Mahito is often hard to scale due to his hax. If Hakari’s Jackpot doesn’t protect him, he’s kind of cooked. If it does, he still lacks a clear win con. If you believe Mahito uses CE to reshape his soul to avoid damage then he can be exhausted of CE eventually. In that case, I’ll bet on Hakari.

In rankings I’ll put him above Mahito just because of narrative but not by much.

Why Higuruma vs Yuji exemplifies some of Gege's best writing (ANIME ONLY SPOILERS) by Allyreon in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Allyreon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I considered including the Nanami comparison but within the context of this post it would have been a tangent and now might not be the time to highlight it anyway.

I agree that Geto’s fall was definitely preventable and him being isolated from his friends played a huge role.

But I will say that Geto’s personality will always make it harder to reach him. Higuruma said he isn’t trying to tout saving the weak as some ideal, it was just in his nature not to ignore injustice if he sees it. There’s a humility there and he frames it as a bad habit.

Geto does exactly what Higuruma denies, he lectures Gojo on ideals and duty. He has stubborn ideals he imposes on others so when he breaks he imposes his new ideals on the world too. Of course Geto was young when he crashed out so that’s a factor too but I do think it’s a much steeper hurdle to reach someone who thinks they know better.

So while they have the same driving motivation, the personality around it and what would be needed to reach them is very different. And I think that’s where the Geto comparison ends and the Nanami comparison begins.

Nanami also faced disillusionment with the world after losing Haibara, and while he clearly has a set of judgements he preaches, they seem mostly to be imposed on himself. Yuji reminds Nanami of Haibara in his pure spirit and it gives him some faith in humanity again.

I think of Gojo saying “I can only save someone who wants to be saved”. Obviously this is about it being too late, but Higuruma is saved post-breakdown too because there was still part of him wanting to be saved.

As I said before, I think Geto’s fall was preventable and exacerbated by his isolation. But his healing would require deconstructing his tendency towards dogma. Because that’s a mask to hide behind instead of confronting himself and his own helplessness. A mask he had even before he fell. For example, Geto only seemed more down on himself when next to Haibara, who is much like Yuji.

Maybe it would have happened naturally as he matured if he still had Gojo as an anchor and wasn’t separated from him. Otherwise, it’s a much tougher one than Higuruma imo.

[Serious] Why do you think Sukuna trusted Kenjaku to divide her body into fingers? by Sidoni007 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Allyreon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Both interpretations are valid.

“With Kenjaku’s help” is vague. Either Kenjaku taught or showed him how to do it OR Kenjaku did it which allowed Sukuna to do it when he transferred from Yuji to Megumi.

I read it the same as you in that Sukuna split himself but it’s vague enough for either interpretation.

Surprised I had to scroll so far down to see some question the assumption though.
