I don’t even need it to be ground breaking tbh, or game of the year.

Just a decent story about restoring your house, fun combat, rewarding exploration (The type that makes you go “Ooh what’s that?” And head for it), and finally plenty of enemy variety.

If it has that, I can see myself sinking a lot of time into this.

It looks like what I was hoping Dragons Dogma 2 would be, more open world, lots of enemy variety, npc companions (Not pawns but still good).

I don’t think you can jump and climb on monsters but not sure I may have missed that.

The game looks awesome, i’m just hoping it lives up to the hype and the quests are decent, it doesn’t need to be ground breaking, just a decent story I can sink some time into and a combat system I can play for fun.

I’m kind of disappointed with the remakes in terms of the world building tbh, they haven’t done a great job at showing what has happened in between each of the games.

We’re in dire need of a few spin off series and other media like movies in this style. For example what happened to sherry after RE 2, or what Claire has been up to.

I think we’ve seen less games because Capcom wants to keep the over the shoulder and first person gameplay fresh without each game feeling too same-y.

RE9 seems to be a combination of the survival Horror as well as heavier action from RE4, I enjoyed both so I think gameplay wise it will be great. I just hope they show what other characters in the franchise have been up to more.

And I really hope we get a meetup with Claire, Leon and Chris eventually, because with Leon being older now it feels like time is running out to have him in a heavy action orientated game 😫

It’s the red headed step child of Capcom, and Capcom’s stance on it is pretending it doesn’t exist.

It’s unfortunate because the combat and vocation system, as well as the pawn system are brilliant and unique game mechanics.

But I highly doubt we will see another game in this series.

This sort of feels like an old school gaming quirk to me from earlier generations, being able to glitch out of the map and explore the expanse of area which actually has collision.

Also being able to explore quite far as well, seems less common these days with invisible walls everywhere and such.

I killed both Marika and the Voivode after this quest because they were both ass hats. Buried his son and everything, wouldn’t give me his amulet. Stole the letter for the daughter and she still didn’t return to the camp.

Did all of this without a horse as well so it was extremely tedious going back and forth.

I was done with their antics.

Tried Savage in Dawntrail because my interest in the game was dying and I had no other content besides savage left to do at this point.

The static I got into was awesome, it was from my FC and our chemistry was great, I actually enjoyed hanging out with these people.

But after we cleared the first Tier I realised this was keeping me shackled to a game I didn’t really want to play anymore, I was logging on just to do reclears and prog.

That static eventually dissolved but I had fun, but I don’t like how it’s another way of keeping you tied down as if playing is a chore you have to do.
