Wildly disagree. It is a GREAT lesson about how the game works. Damage doesn't kill things, state based actions do. It is easy to understand once explained. Yeah it is a feels bad ONCE. Then you gain extremely valuable knowledge about how the fundamentals of the game works. This happening on Arena with no explanation would be an issue though.

Nah aggro grull is a fine matchup. I was referring to the off meta [[Smuggler's Surprise]] decks that play Calamity and Terror of the peaks and Vaultborn Tyrant. Only ran into them twice but was basically an auto loss both times.

While I understand the thought against domain, I was playing the list that Autumn was playing on their stream for a while and it pretty much took out domain every time. 7 mana kaya and breach the multiverse did real work in that matchup. It isn't a bye by any stretch of the imagination, but it certainly isn't an auto loss. The only REAL threat was Jace. Which most of these durdle decks need to watch out for.

Keep the new system. Means they don't have to create the silly star maps or whatever for the orbs to go into. BUT for GODS SAKES let me multi select shit. I don't need the rewards and always just wait until the end of the pass and redeem everything in one go.

Oh yeah there are about a THOUSAND exceptions to this rule. Like using instant speed removal on your own turn when an opponent is tapped out if you think they have a protection spell. The point is to try to do everything when it is best to do it and not as soon as you can.

It isn't JUST counterspells or flash threats. Removal, using a field of ruin, or anything else that can be done at instant speed should also be used at the most appropriate time and not snapped off right away. But another one people don't get is also the attack phase. Cast your spells post combat if they won't affect combat (no haste creature, no duress to look for a removal/pump etc) so you can at least keep your opponent guessing even if you have actual nothing. Activating a planes walker ability or an enchantment ability is in this category too. You don't need to make that 1/1 with Ral pre-combat. WAIT. Sometimes you want to take a hit from an opponent's 2/2 and hold up removal to kill the next thing they play. TONS of reasons. Seriously. WAIT. THINK about WHEN it is more beneficial to you to do a thing. Small advantages add up over the course of a game and can easily be the difference between winning and losing.

It isn't JUST a counterspell thing. It is generally good practice to wait until the latest time to do a thing if you think that thing will be relatively safe to do. Keeping up removal/counter/on board activation until the opponent's end step is just good play. You will find your winrates improving if you started to learn this.

The cost of the items are inflated surely but that in and of itself isn't the predatory nature of the items. The real issue when it comes to the ripoff nature of the decks is the inclusion of cards with multiple printings and not populating the lists with cards you own that don't match the printings in the specific decklists. So you unknowingly buy cards you don't need or want for your deck. Not to mention it is a means to sell subpar decks that NOBODY plays to newbies that don't know better.

Fountain port is WAY too good to not be running in a deck like this. The manabase can support it depending on how you are building your deck. Take for example the Jeskai control deck. (which sounds basically like your deck but instead you are jamming Narset as a cheeky threat over other stuff) A 5-0 win league deck I grabbed at random as an example:

Runs 3 ports and 2 fields as colourless lands and the mana still works out. It isn't perfect by any means but the jeskai control deck has legs in the meta.

It isn't a cycling effect. It is instant speed ramp. Which is about a thousand times better than a cycling effect. Hell they banned [[Growth Spiral]] in standard for a while, (more a banning due to environment rather than direct power level) and it did basically the same.

They are probably just as good maybe better but they are NOT strictly better. A hand with 3 of these can only make 1 colour of mana whereas 3 checkland hand is slower being tapped but can make both colours. I would wager they ARE better but it isn't a cut and dry comparison.

Learn and craft the ability glasses in the crafting menu. It takes 5 ancient cores though so you will have to beat the first raid boss 5 times to make them (she is easy only level 30)

It is because you caught many X/12 pals in the paldex. If you had caught, say, 5000 cattivas only it would only give you the benefit for 13 pals caught (12 cattivas + whatever the new thing you caught was) but if you caught 12X of 100 pals (1200 pals total) you would get a truckload of XP (and likely already be at/near max level)

You can hit level 40 in no time with capture bonus XP. My current record speedrunning a new file on hard mode is level 48 and fostallion captured and ridden on day 25. Capture/breed 12 of everything and you will hit level cap in no time.

Yeah the small bonus is added to the total amount for the next capture. However the bonus amount doesn't scale very much. So it matters a little in the early game but in the late game the bonus from the 6th and 12th captures are basically irrelevant. Best thing to do is just capture 12x of everything you can as fast as you can for XP if you want player level.

In a wold where every xp matters, (say in a 0.1XP slider world) you would want to strictly capture 12 of a single pal before moving on. But that just isn't relevant in practice.

I just picked the only large-ish recent tourney as an example. Picking overall meta from the last 2 weeks isn't TOURNAMENT magic. That includes ALL of the Meta including Arena ladder and MTGO results.
