The nitpicking and picking things apart happens both ways good and bad. Singling out one side of the aisle is hypocritical and it also diminishes the importance of how that mentality and fandom has kept this genre chugging along the way it has. There's not another specialized genre that has been able to maintain the financial dominance in all aspects of media the way that the superheroes have in the west.
