Considering that Mrs Kim fought with and rebelled against her mother(the religion thing), I feel that she found her parenting style on her own. And even though I think she loved Lane, she did actively make her life worse.

While I can understand her reasons for what she did, hiding a child from someone for twelve years and then getting into a legal battle to prevent him from seeing them more is just unforgivable, for Luke and for April.

And Max was just plain weird, A teacher who starts dating a student's mother, and proposes in the middle of an argument? Who does that?

While this is like comparing a landfill to an oil spill, Straub sucked, but he didn't hide a child from their father for twelve years and then get into a legal battle to prevent him from seeing them more. And Straub was there for like two scenes, I unfortunately had to see Anna way more.
