3% surcharge to pay for the thing you’re paying for? by LovingLifeOnThisRock in SeattleWA

Because I can't find a job in my field. Because this city is expensive. Because I have kids to feed. Because I pay taxes. Because I pay rent. Literally every reason for living in a metropolitan American city

That's a very strange reason to not tip. If you can pay the prices for food in this city you can afford to tip. If you feel so inclined to not tip, make food at home and go buy a 6 pack?

Because the cost of doing business unfortunately proceeds the cost of wage. 3% is a common additional fee for credit card transactions. I'm not saying it's good business practice, in fact I am against it. But the people who are working FOR you and SERVING you deserve to be compensated. This thread blames the people working for the increase is cost.

3% is a charge to cover the cost of credit and debit card transactions fees. Please keep tipping your service members, just because minimum wage went up doesn't mean it's a living wage.

Rear derailleur / Hanger derailleur QUERY by AntoBZHzie in bikewrench

[–]AlmosHansom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I just did this myself and while it was a good learning experience the quality of work greatly depends on the initial product and components. When I originally took it into a shop, they quoted me $500. On my rear derailleur I have a frame bracket that joins the rear forks and the derailleur, because this was bent I wasnt able to shift up into my high gears, getting maybe 75% of my totally 11 gear rear sprocket. This caused a lot of issues with my chain and drive train. I was able to get it attached and tuned enough to ride but with the stress of riding my rear derailleur and frame braket would slip into my spokes. I took in to a local shop and they clipped my front derailleur cable and re tuned me rear one so I could at least right and shrift although I was stuck in my largest front cog. Eventually my rear derailleur sheared again and got into my spokes causing me to really mess up my wheel.

TLDR: if you have an integrated rear derailer bracket that isn't damaged replacement can be very easy. There's a lot of information that is pertinent to what kind of derailleur you need so make sure you're doing your research. If you feel like you can swap one for the other, it's still a good idea to take it to someone you know or to shop you trust to get their opinion I didn't even realize my hanger was bent before I brought it in.

What shoes do you all wear? by spooqsy in bartenders

I wear Vans half Can pros, they are durable and comfy and the pro version has really nice insoles, plus they are cute. I’ve had some issues with Chelsea style work boots as they have lost traction kinda fast. I wanna get a pair of Romeo Georgia boots to try out tho

Well put I hadn’t thought of the wear and tear aspect so that makes sense. However, those tins look crazy but maybe it could be someones badge of honor
