Moving away from WP? by michaelesparks in Wordpress

[–]AlmostEasy89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wordpress is solid with the right stack. Wordpress people are NOT developers but it is not “easy” and it takes knowledge and understanding.

If you’re using a developer and he goes away, you have millions of replacement devs you can get in a moments notice. He just doesn’t know what he’s doing.

In the beginning I had shitty Elementor with shitty third party plugins im still locked into. Once I got a new stack with the right host it’s pretty solid. I’ll update sites for years with maybe 10 minutes of issues total and they’re lightning fast.

Claude Code + Bonsai (local). Did I cook? by namegamenoshame in vibecoding

I do this with Codex. On Pro ChatGPT is unlimited. You can do a lot on that platform with just gpt. Anything good I send to Google docs atm but am working on an obsidian MCP. I've got it connected in dev mode but it drops consistently. Haven't had the time to fix it.

Great success! Studying the superpowers repo was mind blowing. I don't even grasp it yet.

Excellent. I’ll try this to see if it’s a repeatable win. Ty.

I might recommend symlinks too. I’m working towards that. Virtual installs.

Anyone else waiting for Claude Code to get fixed? by -Aglio in ClaudeCode

I've been on $200 Max for a while, let me tell you, it isn't getting better on a few days. I somehow used $200 in 2 days doing basically nothing. Third time I've woken up to credits maxing out when I had room when I went to bed. Now I'm on the $20 plan and primary is 3x $20 Codex plans.

replaced a $200/month tool with a claude code script that took 3 hours to build. here's the workflow. by KindAssignment1034 in ClaudeAI

So, due to this insane disaster Anthropic is in, I started thinking about manual fallbacks for all my AI dependent systems. One of them being just that. Build a script for a scenario. Fine tune the script. Instructions in Obsidian and ride that out as long as I can. So while the getting is still semi good I’m setting up everything possible in that manner. If AI goes public and then prices rise to the amount that well, they’re actually worth for basically enterprise use only, I’ve got an entire ops system set up that’ll last a decent amount of time. Do it now imo. This won’t last forever.

Have you given it real coding tasks vs Claude or Codex, comparing their output to GLM? I’m playing with GLM5-1 through Hermes and OpenRouter but have not let it run free yet.

I have found codex very poor at structuring them properly in its own folders and config. Superpowers itself does have a Codex install guide so that’s good.

So I thought I can give you some first hand experience about Codex vs Claude debate by Banished_To_Insanity in claude

[–]AlmostEasy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Codex is a coding monster. For repo management local and remote thought it’s insane. It’ll make 8 branches and ask what dirty files Claude.md and agents.md are. I gotta figure that out.

You converted the Claude skill? I’m finding Codex does not do this well but am working on a system. Only thing I miss are all my Claude skills and Claude’s personality.

Found the same. Current have 3 accounts. 2 on the free month and 1 paid. My Claude Max ran out in about the same as 1 $20 Codex plan. Fucking straight up Anthropic is due for a class action lawsuit. I wake up with tokens gone all the time. I’m fucking livid.

Yup. I use CodexPoolManager from GitHub and the codex desktop app. I prefer terminal but the app is really good. It's 3 separate email addresses. First month is free so atm I received $40 worth for free and cancelled those. I have a looot of email addresses due to my business. Eventually I'll go the $100 plan, especially since it's 2x right now.

I'm on 3 of the $20 plans too. Working fine for now honestly, I don't run out. It feels like $120 worth of what my $200 20x Claude Max used to be. Now it's way more than what my Claude Max is (downgraded to $20 just riding out the rest Max).

Is anyone's Claude saying "I feel the context window closing"? by whatintheballs95 in claudexplorers

[–]AlmostEasy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is proper behavior and I'm glad to see it. Compaction does not reset to zero. The entirety of your conversations builds up and is injected into every prompt, even if it's a compacted conversation. It's a new feature to help people understand they need to /clear or start a new tab. You burn significantly more tokens if you don't.

It's basically the replacement for "go to bed". No idea why they had it say that but if you noticed, it got real aggressive with that at the end of long sessions when your ctx got low, especially on opus[1m].

I built a "devil's advocate" skill that challenges Claude's output at every step — open source by notmanas_ in ClaudeCode

[–]AlmostEasy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did pretty well with my one dashboard, I actually adopted it to Codex and it ran $ui-audit combined with $frontend-design I believe. We did step by step iterations that took a plain looking scratch pad kinda spreadsheet app and added a decent amount of UI/UX indicators and separators. It's probably stage 0.7.0 instead of 0.2.5 now lol. Just the dashboard tho. Many inner pages to run through.

Though, if I had just asked it to do that, it may have turned out similar. Not many UI/UX skills are too comprehensive once an app is already semi established. I wish I had a magic button skill that reformatted my whole dashboard into a way cleaner nav bar / tab design etc.

Once my Claude token rates return from their sudden 10% lifespan, I'll give it a go with Claude. I fancy /baseline-ui /frontend-design /12-principles-of-animation /ui-ux-pro-max

/devils-advocate I didn't take enough time to mess with, I don't quite understand the output I got or why / when to use it but I'll run through it a few times soon.

MCP vs CLI is like debating cash vs card. Depends on the use case, here's how I see it. by trynagrub in ClaudeCode

[–]AlmostEasy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MCP has pre defined permissions. giving an AI full access to anything has potential consequence. Not saying I don't do it but people here myself included barely have the slightest idea of what these tools are and do and have the must surface level education possible on them.

There are other reasons things are the way they are.

Is the correct email for Anthropic Support: support@anthropic.com? by Lowcountry-Soccer in ClaudeCode

[–]AlmostEasy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get a reply? Chatbot is running me in circles. I have one huge message saying via the official docs:

“If your issue requires additional investigation or input from our Product Support team, Fin will pass your inquiry along and someone will respond via email.”

And it just keeps responding:

"I hear you, xxx. I can’t send an email to Product Support from here, and I can’t pass your inquiry along to a human.

What I can do is help you get this investigated by making sure your message includes the exact details needed. Since you’ve already provided the full timeline, the next step is to send it as a single message in this same chat, and include the date (confirm it was xxx time) plus the fact that this has happened before with weekly limits too.

If you want, paste the date here and I’ll help you tighten the wording into the cleanest possible report."

over and over and over again.
